Surprises & Disappointments || 2019 ⚡️

⚡️ Hi guys! Happy start of the week, I hope you’re having the best day, full of good readings! 🥰 I’m having so much fun making All these posts, it’s really a blessing for me to share with you all about my year in readings and chat a little, it makes me SO SO happy, so thanks for being there for me.❤️  Today I bring you a mini top of those readings that ended up surprising me way more than I expected, and on the contrary, those that ended up disappointing me when I expected a lot from them.
Later in the month, I’ll be making my post of favorite books of the year and my least favorites, so this has nothing to do with that and I will not be repeating books. What this post represents, on the one hand, are those readings of which I didn’t expect anything and ended up being incredible and on the other hand, those of which I did expect a lot and ended up falling short. I hope you understand what I’m trying to do here 😅, I’m very excited to talk to you about these books because even though some of them disappointed me, I feel that they aren’t bad books at all and I feel that you could enjoy them yourself. 👏🏻
I hope you like it, I’ll tell you more about each one below and as always, let me know ALL your thoughts in the comments. Without further ado, let’s start!⚡️

Top 5 || My Favorite 3 Stars Books ☘️

☘️ Hi guys! I hope you’re having the most wonderful day surrounded by amazing readings ❤️

Before saying anything, I really want to thank from the bottom of my heart those sweet and wonderful people who have communicated with me to wish to my mother a good recovery, for those who don’t know she has had to undergo surgery to remove a fibroid in her womb, but 3 days later she’s already at home and although a little sore (which is normal) she’s doing really well, I’m SO proud of her. So, thank you SO SO much for your support and your beautiful messages, it means a lot to me, they arrived at a time when I needed them a lot. 🥰

September Wrap Up || Contemporary-a-Thon & My Best Reading Month So far? || 2019 🌻

September Wrap Up || Contemporary-a-Thon & My Best Reading Month So far? || 2019 🌻

🌻 Hi guys!! I hope you’re having the best day & you’re enjoying your reading 💞 Today I bring you my beloved Wrap Up of the month of September, where I’ll talk about all the books I’ve read during the month. OMG, this month really flew by, I mean, where did it go? It seems yesterday when it was just beginning, it’s crazy. Being totally honest right now, I’ve nothing really crazy or excited to tell you about this month in terms of my life as such, I’m SO boring 😅, it was quiet, relaxing I guess, and I’ve been trying to connect more with myself during September, I’ve been meditating, which is really helping me a lot with my anxiety. Spring began where I live, so right now I’m quite envious of all those who are going through my beautiful Autumn 🍂 , I swear that autumn is my favorite season, I love the landscapes and the weather a lot, so enjoy it for me. 😭
As you know, I’ve changed many things on the blog and it makes me happy that most of you liked, honestly. 🥰

In terms of reading month, has really been an AMAZING month, in fact, it’s my best month of the year so far 🎊, if I know, WHAT! LOL. I’m super excited, I didn’t expect to read so much cause I had honestly gone into this weird moment where I didn’t know what I wanted to read and wasn’t sure, so I decided to follow my intuition and it was perfect, I found books that I LOVED, so I really can’t complain. You’ll see a little as I did in terms of number in my statistics section, but I’m really very pleased with what I’ve achieved because even though I have several short books, I’m proud of myself. 😊
I’ve read the ARCs that I set out to, so that’s always good, I have a couple of short stories that have surprised me, both for good and for bad, actually. Then we have another small stack of books that were very anticipated by me, and I think that in general, I’ve enjoyed most of the things I’ve read. I’ve even given a couple of 5 stars, and you know that’s weird for me, so YAY, celebrate with me!!! 🥳
I participated, as always, in the Contemporary-a-Thon, in the link you can see all the information related to it, and the truth is that I LOVE this read-a-thon, it’s one of my favorites, I always find very good books when I participate and this time wasn’t the exception. In fact, OMG, I almost forgot to mention it, a miracle happened and you know what? … I COMPLETED ALL THE CHALLENGES!! *victory dance*
I think that setting a more realistic goal was a good idea, so super happy with the results.
I’m dying to start talking to you about the books, tell you a little about my statistics and share some of my faves post of the month. So, let’s start! 🌻 Continue reading “September Wrap Up || Contemporary-a-Thon & My Best Reading Month So far? || 2019 🌻”

Synopsis

Branches and stones, daggers and bones,
They locked the Beast away.

After the death of her sister, seventeen-year-old Violet Saunders finds herself dragged to Four Paths, New York. Violet may be a newcomer, but she soon learns her mother isn’t: They belong to one of the revered founding families of the town, where stone bells hang above every doorway and danger lurks in the depths of the woods.

Justin Hawthorne’s bloodline has protected Four Paths for generations from the Gray—a lifeless dimension that imprisons a brutal monster. After Justin fails to inherit his family’s powers, his mother is determined to keep this humiliation a secret. But Justin can’t let go of the future he was promised and the town he swore to protect.

Ever since Harper Carlisle lost her hand to an accident that left her stranded in the Gray for days, she has vowed revenge on the person who abandoned her: Justin Hawthorne. There are ripples of dissent in Four Paths, and Harper seizes an opportunity to take down the Hawthornes and change her destiny-to what extent, even she doesn’t yet know.

The Gray is growing stronger every day, and its victims are piling up. When Violet accidentally unleashes the monster, all three must band together with the other Founders to unearth the dark truths behind their families’ abilities—before the Gray devours them all.

September TBR || Mood Reading, ARCs & Participating in Another Read-A-Thon || 🌻

🌻 Hi guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day! 💞 Today I bring you my TBR for the month of September, where I’ll tell you everything I’ll be reading during the month. This month will be a little different, though, Spring begins this month here where I live 🌺 , and I’m so excited by the spring weather a little warmer and rainier, I love that, so this weather makes me feel quite like reading, but I’m not sure of what, that’s why I bring you a kind of different TBR because although I know that I’ll be reading a couple of ARCs, and I will also be participating in a read-a-thon, I don’t know very well what I feel like reading. 🤔
I always tend to show you my TBR with which I feel very comfortable and I always try to read the books that I include there, I’m a control freak so I like that 😂, but this month I feel a little adventurous, I feel that I’m not 100% sure of anything, as I mentioned, so I’ll show you a stack of my possible readings and then I’ll pick up from that stack whatever I feel like reading at that time. It will be a month of reading mood or something, right? will be a lot of fun! You can also help me decide what to read, telling me your opinions about these books, you know that I love knowing what you think, talking to you is my a pleasure. 💕

I’ll be participating in another read-a-thon this month and I’ll be trying not to fail miserably, again lol, which will be fun to see for you, I’m sure. I’m participating in the Contemporary-a-Thon, I never want to miss this one because I really love it, it’s one of my faves read-a-thons, so I can’t wait to show you what I’m going to be reading during that week, it’s going to be running from Monday 9/23 to Sunday 9/29, so my TBR will be up closer to that date.📚 If you want to know more about it and you want to participate, then I’ll leave Chelsea‘s video here below, where you can clarify all your doubts and you can also see the promps. I hope you decide to participate, really, it will be a lot of fun and whenever I participate I find a new favorite, so I’m excited to try again in this Round 5. 😍

Before jumping directly to my TBR, I want to tell you that I know that I’ve been missing and I haven’t been commenting on as many blogs as I usually do, but this month I’ll return. You know that I love to support you, being there for you is a priority for me and I want to make it happen more this month 💞. Now, without further ado, let’s get started! 🌻  Continue reading “September TBR || Mood Reading, ARCs & Participating in Another Read-A-Thon || 🌻”

 🍀 Hi, my beautiful bookish friends!!, I hope you’re having a wonderful day and you’re enjoying all your readings. 💕 Today I bring you what would basically be my top 5 of those books that I’m most excited about and I want to read before the end of the year. I didn’t know how to put all my feelings in a title so this is more or less what I came up with lol.
We all know that our TBRs are basically an infinite stack of one million books that we intend to read luckily throughout our lives and sometimes can get a little out of control. Well, I’m trying to start prioritizing certain books and being a bit more organized. I think sometimes, and I guess this happens to all of us, I usually get very distracted by new releases and ARCs, and all those things, and then you forget a little about those books that you already have at your disposal to read or that you mentioned that you died for reading like yesterday, so well,  💫 I’m trying to control myself and try to follow a series of lists where I’ll prioritize 5 books to read for a certain period of time. This is a simple idea that I’m trying to follow and see if I can really read those books that I say I’ll read, and not just forget them completely every time a new one appears in front of me. 💫  All this sounds as if I had all under control, but no guys, don’t be fooled. 😂
In this particular top, I’ll mention 5 books that I’m dying to read before the end of the year and, for a change, I’ll really try to actually read them over the next few months. If I achieve that, then I’ll be very proud of myself, for sure, and I’ll also continue making these types of lists to prioritize certain readings and also to talk a little with you about this books, I would love to know what you think of them. 😍
I always think that everything sounds better explained in my mind, but I hope you have understood what I’m trying to do, I promise to do my best. I’ll read these 5 books and review them for you this year, it’s a fact, I’m doing it!!! 👏🏻
You have to tell me in the comments what is your top 5 priorities before the end of the year, I would love to know your list. And now, without further ado let’s start! 🍀 Continue reading “Top 5 || Books I NEED To Read Before The End Of The Year || 2019 🍀”
