WOW, what a month, you guys! It has been an emotions rollercoaster, no doubt. The month began with me going away on a mini-break/vacation thing and visiting family, and I finish with my mother’s surgery and has been a crazy month, really. On the one hand, I’m happy because I look back and I’m lucky that I have a wonderful family and I’m grateful because my mother has had the opportunity to go to surgery to improve her of life quality and that’s wonderful, but on the other hand, I’ve been so stressed because I had to deal with a lot of things, I’0m the big sister, you know lol, so it was an intense month I would say. Even so, always staying very positive because I know how lucky I am because I also have YOU ❤️, who have been amazing this month, and have understood and supported me in everything, so THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! You’re incredible & I’ve been blessed with hundreds of wonderful comments wishing a good recovery to my mom, she’s doing incredible guys, thank you very much for all that beautiful energy. 💫

In other news, the blog has turned 3 years old this month!! 🎉 OMG, time really flies, right? I hope and want to continue blogging for much longer and continue to share my love for reading with each of you, as well as continue learning and growing. 👏🏻 I feel this community as part of my family and that’s such a warm and beautiful thing to feel, you have to know that you’re never alone if you are part of the book community. 🥰

Literally me … always 😅

Because of everything I previously told you, it has been a busy month, so I haven’t had the chance to read much, yet I’m happy to have been able to fit 3 books in my super busy month. So in spite of everything, I would call it successful 😊 , because I also enjoyed EVERYTHING I read, some more and others less, but all of them great books that I die to share with you. I read books by my favorite authors: Taylor Jenkins Reid & Leigh Bardugo, I’ve both had them in my bookshelf for a while now, so I was super excited to finally read them and I had another super unexpected reading of a subject that I love … I’m so excited to start telling you how I felt about each one of these books and to know your opinion! 😍 So, without further ado, let’s start & LOVE YOU! 🌻 Continue reading “November Wrap Up || Prioritizing my Personal Life & Reading Two of my Favorite Authors || 2019 🌻”

Underrated Books by Well-Known Authors || 🍃

🍃 Hi guys! I hope you’re all having the best day and especially, enjoying your current reading. 💕 Today I had this idea to write you a recommendation post, but then something came to my mind and I couldn’t ignore it, so I think it will become a beautiful post *fingers crossed*, the idea is to highlight underrated books that have been written by well-known authors, I’ll mention the more well-known and loved works of each author as well, but I’ll focus on one book that although it doesn’t have so much recognition personally I think they’re incredible and deserve more love.

Sometimes we know an author for one of his most outstanding works, but this doesn’t mean that his other works aren’t as good or even better, each book that I’ll mention below is worth highlighting because I’ve read and enjoyed them a lot, but above all because I feel that not many people have given them a chance, so my mission here is that maybe some of these titles interest you and you decide to add them to your TBR. 🥰 You know that I love being part of the growth of your endless stack to read, so I really hope you enjoy the post and find new books. 😊

Of course, I would love to know if you have read some of these books and I want you to give me your recommendation and your thoughts on each of the authors that I’ll mention below, without further ado let’s start! 🍃 Continue reading “Underrated Books by Well-Known Authors || 🍃”

September Wrap Up || Contemporary-a-Thon & My Best Reading Month So far? || 2019 🌻

September Wrap Up || Contemporary-a-Thon & My Best Reading Month So far? || 2019 🌻

🌻 Hi guys!! I hope you’re having the best day & you’re enjoying your reading 💞 Today I bring you my beloved Wrap Up of the month of September, where I’ll talk about all the books I’ve read during the month. OMG, this month really flew by, I mean, where did it go? It seems yesterday when it was just beginning, it’s crazy. Being totally honest right now, I’ve nothing really crazy or excited to tell you about this month in terms of my life as such, I’m SO boring 😅, it was quiet, relaxing I guess, and I’ve been trying to connect more with myself during September, I’ve been meditating, which is really helping me a lot with my anxiety. Spring began where I live, so right now I’m quite envious of all those who are going through my beautiful Autumn 🍂 , I swear that autumn is my favorite season, I love the landscapes and the weather a lot, so enjoy it for me. 😭
As you know, I’ve changed many things on the blog and it makes me happy that most of you liked, honestly. 🥰

In terms of reading month, has really been an AMAZING month, in fact, it’s my best month of the year so far 🎊, if I know, WHAT! LOL. I’m super excited, I didn’t expect to read so much cause I had honestly gone into this weird moment where I didn’t know what I wanted to read and wasn’t sure, so I decided to follow my intuition and it was perfect, I found books that I LOVED, so I really can’t complain. You’ll see a little as I did in terms of number in my statistics section, but I’m really very pleased with what I’ve achieved because even though I have several short books, I’m proud of myself. 😊
I’ve read the ARCs that I set out to, so that’s always good, I have a couple of short stories that have surprised me, both for good and for bad, actually. Then we have another small stack of books that were very anticipated by me, and I think that in general, I’ve enjoyed most of the things I’ve read. I’ve even given a couple of 5 stars, and you know that’s weird for me, so YAY, celebrate with me!!! 🥳
I participated, as always, in the Contemporary-a-Thon, in the link you can see all the information related to it, and the truth is that I LOVE this read-a-thon, it’s one of my favorites, I always find very good books when I participate and this time wasn’t the exception. In fact, OMG, I almost forgot to mention it, a miracle happened and you know what? … I COMPLETED ALL THE CHALLENGES!! *victory dance*
I think that setting a more realistic goal was a good idea, so super happy with the results.
I’m dying to start talking to you about the books, tell you a little about my statistics and share some of my faves post of the month. So, let’s start! 🌻 Continue reading “September Wrap Up || Contemporary-a-Thon & My Best Reading Month So far? || 2019 🌻”

Double Book Review || Short Stories || Shadow Me & Evidence of the Affair

🌟 Hi guys!! I hope you’re having a great day and that you’re enjoying your current reading. 💕 Today I bring you a couple of somewhat unexpected short reviews. None of these books were in my TBR for this month, but recently and after reading The Devouring Gray, I really needed a shorter, lighter and more addictive reading, so I went for two short books that have been in my TBR for some time and I was dying to read. Love with all my heart both readings and they’ve put me in a great mood to read, so I think I made the right decision, I hope you enjoy the reviews and let me know everything in the comments. August Wrap Up || N.E.W.TS 💫, Trying My First Audio- Book & Renewing My Blog’s Image || 2019 ||❄️

❄️ Hi guys!! I hope you’re having the best day & you’re enjoying your reading 💞 Today I bring you our beloved Wrap Up of the month of August where I’ll talk about all the books I’ve read during the month. Well, this has certainly been a wild month for me, I’ve had very bad times, I’ve managed to cope with them, both with your help and my family’s, today I’m optimistic and positive, ready for what life has prepared for me in the future. 🌻
I don’t want to make this an endless post, but I still wouldn’t want to start without thanking you for being there when I lost my job and needed a few days for myself, for being understanding and so warm with me, I swear you’re an angel and my safe place, I LOVE YOU.❤️

Despite this, I’ve made the decision this month, finally, to changed a little the blog, so I’ve given it a new look, I know it’s different but I like it. I think it represents me well, it’s simple but romantic and delicate, I hope you like it as well. I haven’t finished yet, there are several things I want to do as I get used to the new thing, but I’m still researching and learning how all this works, I’m not a designer and I don’t know much about informatics or those things, so sometimes it gets complicated, but I‘m having fun changing some simple things and I feel energetic to make this a small new beginning for the blog, so I can’t wait. 😊
In addition to having renewed the image, I’ve also bought my own domain and I’ve got a premium plan here on WordPress, my idea is to try for a year and see how I feel about it and see what changes and differences I can get. I know it’s not necessary to have this kind of plan to be a good blogger, I don’t think that at all, but I wanted to take this as a new experience and a one-year adventure and see how I feel about it. You know that I love my blog and being here with you, so I feel it’s more like an investment, and that’s super exciting to me. 🥰 👏🏻

I’m a little late with my posts, in general, so don’t worry everything will come but a little later, I still have to plan my TBR, but I’ll talk more about it in another post and I also have to write a review of a book that I loved, which I’ll talk more about next! 😍
So, speaking about my readings of the month, I’m very happy with everything I’ve read and how my month has been in that regard. Sadly, I failed just for one book to complete my TBR, but I’m still happy for what I achieved. 📚 I’m SO happy because I’ve managed to read ALL the ARCs that I set out to. I also listened to my first audiobook and OMG, it was an INCREDIBLE experience, I really enjoyed it, so I hope to continue listening, maybe one per month or something like that. I really enjoyed participating for the first time in the NEWTs, I failed as I thought I would, but Oh, I had a lot of fun, so I’d say it was a success, right? or at least it’s what I want to believe 😂
So without further ado, LET’S START, I’m so excited to talk with you about the books I read ❄️

Everyone knows Daisy Jones & The Six, but nobody knows the reason behind their split at the absolute height of their popularity . . . until now.

Daisy is a girl coming of age in L.A. in the late sixties, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s twenty, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things.

Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne. On the eve of their first tour, his girlfriend Camila finds out she’s pregnant, and with the pressure of impending fatherhood and fame, Billy goes a little wild on the road.

Daisy and Billy cross paths when a producer realizes that the key to supercharged success is to put the two together. What happens next will become the stuff of legend.

The making of that legend is chronicled in this riveting and unforgettable novel, written as an oral history of one of the biggest bands of the seventies. Taylor Jenkins Reid is a talented writer who takes her work to a new level with Daisy Jones & The Six, brilliantly capturing a place and time in an utterly distinctive voice.
