Book Recommendations | Books to Get Out of Your Reading Slump πŸŒ™

Β πŸŒ™Β Hi, guys! I hope you’re having the most beautiful day & you’re enjoying every little positive thing that happens to you today! ❀️ Today I’ve come to bring you a recommendation post, of those that I love doing, and in this opportunity to share with you each book that I recommend when you’re going through a reading slump, I’ll leave you my link in case you want to check my discussion post where I give all my tips to overcome this annoying mental state, but I realized that many of you decide to continue reading even being in a reading slump, perhaps changing genres, perhaps reading something shorter or simply changing some reading habit, due to this, I thought that it would be incredible to be able to recommend some books that you can go to if you’re feeling slumpy but still want to continue reading something. πŸ₯°Β

For this, I’ve classified each recommendation under some different genres and formats, as well as for example short stories. I want to give you a wide range of books for you to choose what resonates most with you depending on your reading tastes.
Are these light readings? Not exactly in its entirety, I have a couple of recommendations for light readings (#1 & #2) that you can check in case that’s something you like to go to in these cases, which is great! 😊 but in this case, I’ve decided to recommend books that are absolutely captivating, there are light stories of course, but I’ll not be focusing on it, but on those plots that you can not stop reading because they’re so addictive, or on those books with an extraordinary creation of characters and atmosphere.Β πŸ‘πŸ»Β

I want you to be able to go so far into reading that you don’t even remember you’re going through that hateful reading slump, some of these books have worked for me in the past and that’s why I’m recommending them, but others I just feel that will resonate with you in a unique way & you’ll feel possibly captivated and want more and more.

I hope this is something that you enjoy and that’s helpful for you, and I hope that above all you will take some books directly to your TBR to try at some point. 😍  I’ll leave my review link of each book as always in case you want to know more about it & without further ado, let’s get started!Β πŸŒ™Β  Continue reading “Book Recommendations | Books to Get Out of Your Reading Slump πŸŒ™”

April Wrap Up πŸ‚ | OWLs Magical Readathon 2020 πŸ’›

πŸ‚ Hi guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day full of good readings.❀️ Today I bring you a new post… my April Wrap Up! where I’ll tell you ALL about my readings of the month. As many of you know, this month was all about the OWLs, a wonderful Harry Potter-inspired readathon where we followed a series of promp to successfully graduates of our magical career. If you want to know more about it, you can check my TBR where ALL the information is. 😊 As always, I had an incredible time participating, I think it’s one of the most fun and entertaining readathons to participate, not only do I love reading and passing classes, but I also love to see what others are reading and what career or careers they have chosen to follow. A super beautiful community is formed, where everyone interacts and makes the experience a thousand times better, so YES, it was incredible and I’m happy that I managed to complete it and managed to read each of the books that were in my TBR, with the exception of one that it’s a DNF, but I’m counting it anyway because I really tried. πŸ‘πŸ» In addition to this, I’ve had one more week to read what I wanted, which is incredible it never happens to me lol, but I decided to take it easy, especially since I want to read a lot next month, so I don’t want to get overwhelmed, and I really liked having time to rest and doing other things, also feels nice and at times as stressful as these are necessary. Anyway, I ended up grabbing something else to read, but I’ll tell you more about that later. πŸ₯°

I don’t want to spend a single month of this year without thanking you for your support and unconditional love that you show me in each of my posts, I’ll be forever grateful to be able to live this adventure with so many wonderful people! 😭 ❀️ Honestly this year I haven’t been paying much attention to my statistics like in 2019, which is proving to be very healthy for me, I’m a quite organized person and I’m very passionate about my projects, so of course, I want this beautiful project to grow and do well, but I’m focusing much more on improving my content and being able to express myself better, learn and be able to give you the best of myself and I think that it’s being incredibly powerful and healing, I’m enjoying much more blogging this 2020, it feels incredible. 😍 I’ve been thinking about making a discussion post soon on these topics and give you some tips if you’re interested and talking about blogging, pressure, stress but also the benefits that I’ve experienced having the blog and being part of the community, I’ll build something soon and I’m excited to continue sharing with you. I LOVE YOU and I wish you all the success with your projects. πŸŽ‰

As for my readings, I’m trying this year to be quite open to reading many different genres, that’s why I’ve been putting together mini TBRs, which I love, and this month, I’ve had a variety of interesting genres, so I’m pleased. I enjoyed almost everything I read, which makes me feel very fulfilled and happy, I’ve read one of my favorite authors and I haven’t been disappointed, she’s fantastic, I almost cried with a short novel that I found very powerful, I’ve read adorable novels graphics, and I discovered that I can read heavier and descriptive writing style and still enjoy the process. πŸ˜„
I hope you decide to stay and you’ll be able to know my thoughts about each one of these books, but I’ll also share with you as always my favorite blog posts and some fun statistics. So without further ado, let’s get started! πŸ‚

Abril TBR πŸ‚ | O.W.L.s Magical Readathon 2020 πŸ’›

πŸ‚ Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❀️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of April, but this time it’s super special because I’ll be participating throughout the month in a new edition of the OWLs Magical Readathon πŸ’«, which I love SO much, I’m super excited to share this experience with you, I also know that many of you will be participating, so it’s even more special than most of us can share the same energy during this month and of course, share what we’ll be reading and our goals in general. πŸ₯°

Here in my country, we’re still in mandatory quarantine, I have many posts mentioning the same thing, but I like to keep you informed, especially since I know that most of you are from other countries, so I think there’s something very important in sharing this type of information worldwide for us to be more aware of what’s happening, there’s nothing more powerful and important than information. So, this is why I wanted to share with you that I’m still in quarantine until, at least, half a month, then we’ll see what happens, the important thing is to stay safe and take care of others as well, so although it can be a little stressful, I try to keep my energy as positive as possible knowing that I’m doing my best to help in these dark moments. This said, I hope I can read everything I plan, beyond having time sometimes mentally it’s impossible to read or do anything else, and I know you understand me, so let’s hope that everything flows in the most perfect way possible and hopefully I’ll be accomplishing with my goals and with the career that I’ve chosen.😊

The OWLs start on the 1st of April and end on the 30th of April, this so creative and wonderful readathon is created by Book Roast, I recommend that you check her channel, it’s wonderful and I’ve had the great pleasure of being part of a recommendation series for my house: Hufflepuff last year, in which I give you some ideas for each promp & was a blessing. ALL the information is in the video that I’m leaving here for you, you’ll be able to find out everything you need to know, from the Wizarding Careers available this year to the letter and prompts, and many fun new things that have been added this 2020 πŸ’«, so check it out for a much more complete and informative overview of the Magical Readathon. πŸ’›

I don’t have much more to say right now, I’m super excited and happy to be able to participate again another year, it feels beautiful to be able to share with so many other readers of the same experience, it’s really magical. So without further ado, I’m dying to tell you which career I’ve chosen and what I’ll be reading to get my wizard degree this 2020 😍… so, let’s start! πŸ‚ Continue reading “Abril TBR πŸ‚ | O.W.L.s Magical Readathon 2020 πŸ’›”

September Wrap Up || Contemporary-a-Thon & My Best Reading Month So far? || 2019 πŸŒ»

September Wrap Up || Contemporary-a-Thon & My Best Reading Month So far? || 2019 πŸŒ»

🌻 Hi guys!! I hope you’re having the best day & you’re enjoying your reading πŸ’ž Today I bring you my beloved Wrap Up of the month of September, where I’ll talk about all the books I’ve read during the month. OMG, this month really flew by, I mean, where did it go? It seems yesterday when it was just beginning, it’s crazy. Being totally honest right now, I’ve nothing really crazy or excited to tell you about this month in terms of my life as such, I’m SO boring πŸ˜…, it was quiet, relaxing I guess, and I’ve been trying to connect more with myself during September, I’ve been meditating, which is really helping me a lot with my anxiety. Spring began where I live, so right now I’m quite envious of all those who are going through my beautiful AutumnΒ πŸ‚Β , I swear that autumn is my favorite season, I love the landscapes and the weather a lot, so enjoy it for me. 😭
As you know, I’ve changed many things on the blog and it makes me happy that most of you liked, honestly.Β πŸ₯°Β Β

In terms of reading month, has really been an AMAZING month, in fact, it’s my best month of the year so far 🎊, if I know, WHAT! LOL. I’m super excited, I didn’t expect to read so much cause I had honestly gone into this weird moment where I didn’t know what I wanted to read and wasn’t sure, so I decided to follow my intuition and it was perfect, I found books that I LOVED, so I really can’t complain. You’ll see a little as I did in terms of number in my statistics section, but I’m really very pleased with what I’ve achieved because even though I have several short books, I’m proud of myself. 😊
I’ve read the ARCs that I set out to, so that’s always good, I have a couple of short stories that have surprised me, both for good and for bad, actually. Then we have another small stack of books that were very anticipated by me, and I think that in general, I’ve enjoyed most of the things I’ve read. I’ve even given a couple of 5 stars, and you know that’s weird for me, so YAY, celebrate with me!!!Β πŸ₯³Β Β
I participated, as always, in the Contemporary-a-Thon, in the link you can see all the information related to it, and the truth is that I LOVE this read-a-thon, it’s one of my favorites, I always find very good books when I participate and this time wasn’t the exception. In fact, OMG, I almost forgot to mention it, a miracle happened and you know what? … I COMPLETED ALL THE CHALLENGES!! *victory dance*
I think that setting a more realistic goal was a good idea, so super happy with the results.
I’m dying to start talking to you about the books, tell you a little about my statistics and share some of my faves post of the month. So, let’s start! 🌻 Continue reading “September Wrap Up || Contemporary-a-Thon & My Best Reading Month So far? || 2019 πŸŒ»”

Β πŸ’«Β Hi guys!! I hope you’re REALLY well, that you’re having a beautiful day and you’re enjoying your readings.πŸ’ž
Lately as it’s very common during Pride Month I‘ve been seeing many people making LGBT + books lists, from those who recommend to those who come out this year and others, as myself bring you today, have chosen to share a list of books that although we haven’t read yet, we’re dying to do it very soon.
I plan later in the month to bring you my LGBT+ book recommendations as well, with books that I personally have loved, but first I wanted to share with you those who are still on my TBR.
🌈 I LOVE reading books that present characters that represent the LGBT+ community in a respectful and amazing way, I’m heterosexual, but I’ve always been a huge supporter of the community and I’m 100% on board in each movement, because nobody should fight and suffer for loving someone, so always here for all my beautiful queer people out there. 🌈
This list will consist of my Top 10 of the books that I’m most excited to read, they’ll not be in any order, because I’m honestly super excited by all these books and I’ve simply chosen 10 to not make of this an infinite list Β πŸ˜…Β
I hope you share with me your thoughts and feelings about these books if you have already read them, that will help me create a personal list with those books that I should prioritize and read soon.
I hope you enjoy it and hopefully, you’ll have a new title to make your TBR grow!!!
Without more further ado, let’s start!Β πŸ’« Continue reading “Top 10 LGBT+ Books On My TBR || πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ”
