My Experience with WordPress Premium for a Year & Reading Update 🌿

🌿 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day and a great start to the week!❤️ Today I bring you a different section, I want to be able to talk to you about some perhaps more personal topics or also about things from the blog and my reading habits and I couldn’t find any time to do it, so I thought it would be good to start this new section in the blog where I’ll share with you what’s happening with me and in my life right now, and also things that I want to chat with you and know your opinion about. Obviously, I’ll only be using it for things that I see as important, or that seems interesting to discuss or chat with you. 😊
I don’t want any place or section in my blog to be negative in any way, this will not be either, so don’t be afraid to stay, here we’ll discuss other things that I regularly miss or sometimes I tell them very superficially in other posts and I think they deserve greater attention and depth.

With that said, today I wanted to chat a bit with you about my experience having and using WordPress Premium for a whole year and how I felt about it, and my general opinion. I also want to share with you what I’m reading right now and what book I’ve recently decided DNFed and why. I hope you enjoy, that this is something that you might find interesting or useful in some way and decide to stay and chat with me & without further ado, let’s start! 🌿  Continue reading “My Experience with WordPress Premium for a Year & Reading Update 🌿”

I know it’s a little all over the place maybe because I’m talking about everything I feel right now, but it seems right because it’s real and honest, so I’ll just go with the flow lol. 2020 Book Blogger Awards | My Nominations ☀️

2020 Book Blogger Awards | My Nominations ☀️

☀️ Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day! ❤️ Today is a very special day because we’ll start the week with my nominations for the wonderful book blogger awards, which it’s really exciting, last year I didn’t get to participate, so I was looking forward to finally doing it in this 2020. I think most of you guys already know all about these Awards, but in case you don’t, this is the fourth annual book blogger awards, which is created to give the greatest recognition to us, book bloggers, for our work during the year and also gives us the opportunity to show our support and love to our fellow book bloggers. 👏🏻  These Awards are hosted by May @ Forever And Everly & this year it’s co-hosted by Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books. I love so much to both girls, they’ve done a wonderful job this year with each category giving each book bloggers even more opportunities to be able to give even more love and make this a more diverse event with more possibilities for everyone. 🥰  Of course, I asked you to go to any of the original posts of the girls where you’ll find ALL the information you need to know to start planning your nominations.

Before jumping right into the nominations, I want to share with you some rules that I’ve decided to impose on myself while I was planning my nominations. I’ve decided to repeat book blogs as little as possible, in fact, I think I only repeat 2 book bloggers during my nomination process. I also wanted to make room for as many bloggers as possible, guys, I love so many of you, and not only because you’re wonderful people and you always support me, but also because I love, enjoy and value your content and all the work you put on your blog it’s super-valuable to me, so from the bottom of my heart, I made this list of nominations well in advance to be sure that I wasn’t leaving anyone out. If you’re not nominated it doesn’t mean that you’re less book blogger or your work isn’t worth it, you’re incredible and I see each one of you always, I just have to choose, you know?, even so, I have decided to put 2 book bloggers per category to give more opportunities and more support. 😍

With that said, I hope you enjoy my nomination process & I want to remind you that beyond this beautiful idea, we must ALWAYS support each other from the smallest blogger to the greatest deserves love and recognition. 😊 I LOVE YOU, and without further ado, I’m super excited to start, get comfortable, get something to eat and drink & LET’S START! ☀️  Continue reading “2020 Book Blogger Awards | My Nominations ☀️”

In 1986, Eddie and his friends are just kids on the verge of adolescence. They spend their days biking around their sleepy English village and looking for any taste of excitement they can get. The chalk men are their secret code: little chalk stick figures they leave for one another as messages only they can understand. But then a mysterious chalk man leads them right to a dismembered body, and nothing is ever the same.

In 2016, Eddie is fully grown, and thinks he’s put his past behind him. But then he gets a letter in the mail, containing a single chalk stick figure. When it turns out that his friends got the same message, they think it could be a prank . . . until one of them turns up dead.

That’s when Eddie realizes that saving himself means finally figuring out what really happened all those years ago.

Book Recommendations | Books to Get Out of Your Reading Slump 🌙

Book Recommendations | Books to Get Out of Your Reading Slump 🌙

🌙 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having the most beautiful day & you’re enjoying every little positive thing that happens to you today! ❤️ Today I’ve come to bring you a recommendation post, of those that I love doing, and in this opportunity to share with you each book that I recommend when you’re going through a reading slump, I’ll leave you my link in case you want to check my discussion post where I give all my tips to overcome this annoying mental state, but I realized that many of you decide to continue reading even being in a reading slump, perhaps changing genres, perhaps reading something shorter or simply changing some reading habit, due to this, I thought that it would be incredible to be able to recommend some books that you can go to if you’re feeling slumpy but still want to continue reading something. 🥰

For this, I’ve classified each recommendation under some different genres and formats, as well as for example short stories. I want to give you a wide range of books for you to choose what resonates most with you depending on your reading tastes.
Are these light readings? Not exactly in its entirety, I have a couple of recommendations for light readings (#1 & #2) that you can check in case that’s something you like to go to in these cases, which is great! 😊 but in this case, I’ve decided to recommend books that are absolutely captivating, there are light stories of course, but I’ll not be focusing on it, but on those plots that you can not stop reading because they’re so addictive, or on those books with an extraordinary creation of characters and atmosphere. 👏🏻

I want you to be able to go so far into reading that you don’t even remember you’re going through that hateful reading slump, some of these books have worked for me in the past and that’s why I’m recommending them, but others I just feel that will resonate with you in a unique way & you’ll feel possibly captivated and want more and more.

I hope this is something that you enjoy and that’s helpful for you, and I hope that above all you will take some books directly to your TBR to try at some point. 😍  I’ll leave my review link of each book as always in case you want to know more about it & without further ado, let’s get started! 🌙  Continue reading “Book Recommendations | Books to Get Out of Your Reading Slump 🌙”

My TBR Jar | 30+ Books ⚱️

My TBR Jar | 30+ Books ⚱️

⚱️ Hi friends, I hope you’re having a beautiful day and you’re enjoying all your reading! ❤️ Today I’ve decided to start organizing my reading lists and I realized that I’ve never shared all the books that are in my TBR here, so I think it’s a good idea to do it now, not just to share with you and talk a little about them, but I also think it will help me to remember to prioritize them as well, and maybe start reading some in the coming months. 😊
I had a super extensive TBR jar at the beginning of the year, but I decided to do it again while doing my TBR Lows & Highs series, so from scratch, I decided to create my TBR jar with your help through my series of posts and then put in my Jar only those books that you think I should give a chance to and also those that have been in my TBR for years!  👏🏻 I really appreciate all the help that you have given me through my posts every week choosing one or more books for my TBR Jar, now I have a very solid list of books that I’ll be giving a chance over time, I also plan to try a chapter of some at some point and also share it with you. My goal is to finally give them a chance to decide if they’re for me or not and share my thoughts with you, some of them are really popular.
Of course, I would love to know your thoughts about each one of them, that would help me a lot and I think it will be a fun way to finally give them a chance. I hope you enjoy it, thank you SO SO much for the support and love of always 🥰, and without further ado, let’s get started! ⚱️ Continue reading “My TBR Jar | 30+ Books ⚱️”

Synopsis

A YA feminist mash up inspired by The Lost Boys and The Craft.

It’s 1987 and unfortunately it’s not all Madonna and cherry lip balm. Mayhem Brayburn has always known there was something off about her and her mother, Roxy. Maybe it has to do with Roxy’s constant physical pain, or maybe with Mayhem’s own irresistible pull to water. Either way, she knows they aren’t like everyone else. But when May’s stepfather finally goes too far, Roxy and Mayhem flee to Santa Maria, California, the coastal beach town that holds the answers to all of Mayhem’s questions about who her mother is, her estranged family, and the mysteries of her own self. There she meets the kids who live with her aunt, and it opens the door to the magic that runs through the female lineage in her family, the very magic Mayhem is next in line to inherit and which will change her life for good. But when she gets wrapped up in the search for the man who has been kidnapping girls from the beach, her life takes another dangerous turn and she is forced to face the price of vigilante justice and to ask herself whether revenge is worth the cost.

From the acclaimed author of This Raging Light and But Then I Came Back, Estelle Laure offers a riveting and complex story with magical elements about a a family of women contending with what appears to be an irreversible destiny, taking control and saying when enough is enough.

⚡️ Hi guys, I hope you’re having an AMAZING day, full of good readings! 💞 Today I bring you another discussion post! (super excited), It’s something that really makes me happy to have started doing this year and I don’t want to start without thanking you for the support you have given me in my previous posts, it means the world to me. So, I love checking out this type of posts around the blogosphere, so I think it could be fun to start writing them myself and share with you so we can all talk about different topics related to the literary world, books & blogging.

Today I want to bring you a super important discussion all about Reading Slumps. Lately, especially in the last 2 months, I’ve seen many of my book blogger friends going through this situation and other community reading members as well, I think it probably has a little to do with everything that’s happening in the world right now, but I also think that it’s a mental state that’s quite normal to come at these times when we are in the middle of the year and you know, things begin to come to us, all the stress and worries finally reach us and suddenly we’re full into this slumpy mood, where it can be difficult to get out of. So I thought it was a good idea to talk a little bit about it, since I think that sharing our experiences can be a very healthy way to begin to heal and finally come out of this state, so besides telling you a little about my personal experiences, I’ve also want to share with you my top tips that have helped me in the past to overcome reading slumps and do a little reflection on how my ways of dealing with it has changed over time. I sincerely hope that this post can be of help to you right now & that you can come back to it at any time where you’re feeling down.❤️

If you want to check more of my discussion posts, here they are: The first is all about Book Reviews, the second is all about The Meaning of being an International Book Blogger, the third one is all about Rating Systems & last but not least we talk about The Pressure of Blogging.
