August TBR | #ARCAugust, Latinx Readathon & Trying a New Category! ❄️

August TBR | #ARCAugust, Latinx Readathon & Trying a New Category! ❄️

❄️ Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of August. SO excited to be sharing another month of possible readings with you, I always have SO MUCH FUN! Ok, so this month I’ve planned a somewhat ambitious TBR… maybe, I know I’m coming out of my Reading Slump, so all these plans are always keeping in mind that I want to take it easy, but I still wanted to add a little more book options than I usually put, since I’ll be inaugurating a new section in my TBRs from now on, which I hope will help me to be more relaxed with respect to my lists and have a greater variety of options according to my mood. 🤩 Super excited to share it s with you but before, I want to come back to thank you for the incredible July that you’ve made me go through, filled with love and support… THANK YOU, my beautiful friends, here for an even better August. 👏🏻 You know that if you want me to support you with anything you can send me an e-mail or find me on Twitter, I’m always more than happy to give you a hand with what I can & I’ll be doing a LOT of blogs hopping this month, I’m looking forward to seeing that it’s been happening on your blog!  😍

So going back to my reading this August, I have many plans!! First, I want to participate in #ARCAugust because it’s the perfect time to read as many ARCs as possible and so feel more relaxed about it, catching up with them. I have a selection of ARCs that I’m really excited about, I have several sequels, so I’m very much looking forward to seeing what will happen in these stories.
Then I’ll also be participating in the Latinx Readathon, a Readathon hosted by Sofia (Aelin’s Kingdom), Nikkie (Nikkie Reads), Jane Josée (Big Black Books) & ( lou reading things ), I leave you all the links so that you follow these wonderful girls & this Readathon is obviously all about reading books by Latinx authors and/or that the book contains some kind of Latinx representation in them, but it also includes many super fun proms in an incredible bingo that the girls have created. My decision to participate was a last-minute thing because I didn’t know about Readathon, but when I knew it I really had to do it to show my support for this incredible idea and as Latina, I feel super proud of this incredible work, so if you want to join in it’s not too late, you can do it simply by picking up a book from a Latinx author. All the information is in the Twitter account, which you can access by clicking on the name itself and I hope you like it and decide to support the idea! ❤️
I know it will not be possible for me to read a book for each on of the promps because they’re many, so I decided to do a bingo line and I’ll be reading 3 books for that, which I’ll share with you in a moment and I almost forgot, the readathon takes place throughout the whole month of August. 😊

And finally, because this is getting long (to no one’s surprise 😂 ) I want to share with you my new section, where I’ll be piling even more books to add to my TBR, I know it sounds crazy, but my idea is something like this: This section will be called “The Back-Up Pile” in there I’ll have a mini-list with possible readings, what does this mean? Well, sometimes and after going through my reading slump, I realized that my reading mood has been changing a lot and sometimes I don’t feel really motivated to read something that’s already in my TBR originally or maybe I just want to change the genre, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a backup list where I can choose some readings that I already own, some that remain from my past TBR and I didn’t get to read or just new buys and releases that I’m really excited about, in this way I think my TBRs will be more fun and didactical & I’ll also have more options just in case I feel like reading something different during the month.  🥰
I hope you get what I mean, I know it sounds a bit messy, but once I show it to you I know you’ll understand better. Let me know in the comments if you like the idea, if it would be something that would work for you or if you would like to try it, I would love that & obviously, let me know everything about the books in this section, I would LOVE to know your thoughts!  😍

Now, without further ado, I LOVE YOU  🌻 & let the books party begin! ❄️  Continue reading “August TBR | #ARCAugust, Latinx Readathon & Trying a New Category! ❄️”

My TBR Jar | 30+ Books ⚱️

My TBR Jar | 30+ Books ⚱️

⚱️ Hi friends, I hope you’re having a beautiful day and you’re enjoying all your reading! ❤️ Today I’ve decided to start organizing my reading lists and I realized that I’ve never shared all the books that are in my TBR here, so I think it’s a good idea to do it now, not just to share with you and talk a little about them, but I also think it will help me to remember to prioritize them as well, and maybe start reading some in the coming months. 😊
I had a super extensive TBR jar at the beginning of the year, but I decided to do it again while doing my TBR Lows & Highs series, so from scratch, I decided to create my TBR jar with your help through my series of posts and then put in my Jar only those books that you think I should give a chance to and also those that have been in my TBR for years!  👏🏻 I really appreciate all the help that you have given me through my posts every week choosing one or more books for my TBR Jar, now I have a very solid list of books that I’ll be giving a chance over time, I also plan to try a chapter of some at some point and also share it with you. My goal is to finally give them a chance to decide if they’re for me or not and share my thoughts with you, some of them are really popular.
Of course, I would love to know your thoughts about each one of them, that would help me a lot and I think it will be a fun way to finally give them a chance. I hope you enjoy it, thank you SO SO much for the support and love of always 🥰, and without further ado, let’s get started! ⚱️ Continue reading “My TBR Jar | 30+ Books ⚱️”

July TBR | Catching up with my Readings & PopCulture Readathon ❄️

July TBR | Catching up with my Readings & PopCulture Readathon ❄️

❄️ Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of July. This month will be the month where I’ll try to catch up on my readings after having a very bad June, thank God it was a pretty short month for me because I was urgent to start with a new month and new energy. 💫 I know I say this every month, you probably think I’m crazy, but I’m excited for this month and I think it will be the month when I finally read a lot and catch up on many readings I’ve been wanting to read since the beginning of the year. 😍

I’ve planned this structure where I’ve chosen books that I’m really excited about, some ARCs and new releases, in this way, I think I’ll be able to defeat the reading slump and stay motivated throughout the month. 👏🏻 In addition to these plans, I’ll be participating in PopCulture Readathon 🤩 , which not only sounds incredible but IS INCREDIBLE. When I found out about it on Twitter, I knew that I had to participate even when I wasn’t reading anything at the time. I LOVE the idea, is inspired by movies from the ’90s! I think it’s brilliant and I love how Whitney, the creator, has organized everything in a way that we all have many options and a wide range of promps and boards: Teen Dream Family Affair” “Thrill Ride & The Adult Table, which I LOVE! I also think that there’s no specific goal, you can do it as you like and how it resonates with you, try to fill the board you choose or you can do it in a bingo-style or as you want, in my case, I’ll try to read as many books as I can of the board that I’ve chosen. 😊  In case you want to know more about the readathon and places to find it, I’ll leave you all the links here above and I’m very happy to see that many of us will be participating or, in my case, trying to participate, so it will be even more fun!

❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ Before starting I want to thank you for being there for me throughout the month of June supporting my work on the blog and to me as a person, I don’t deserve you, you’re wonderful and I’m absolutely proud and happy to be part of the community. I know that lately, our family that we have created here, has been somewhat problematic in general, so I want to let you know that this will always be a safe place for you, as positive as it can be and you’ll always have all the freedom to express yourself as you want to do it. I also want to say that if you’re feeling uncomfortable or un-motivated, please don’t hesitate to stay away for a while if it’s what you need, it’s totally understandable and your mental health comes first. I LOVE YOU & I’m planning a discussion on how to combat reading slump for this month if you’re interested stay around because I know that sadly many of us are going through the same thing, but I know that we going to do it so much better this month, July will be our month of reading! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I have a huge stack of books planned to share with you below, I’ve decided to choose a book for each promp on the board because I think it’s fun and I just wanted to choose to have a lot of variety and possibilities, even so, I’m aware that I’ll not read all this and it’s ok, I still wanted to try to read as much as I can. 🥰 I’m excited to share it with you, let me know EVERYTHING in the comments & without further ado, LET’S START! ❄️  Continue reading “July TBR | Catching up with my Readings & PopCulture Readathon ❄️”

June TBR | #MakeYourMythTaker Readathon & Catching up with my Own Challenges 🍂

June TBR | #MakeYourMythTaker Readathon & Catching up with my Own Challenges 🍂

🍂 Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of June. Well, another month and other new challenges to undertake, I’m excited for June, I feel it will be THE month, where I’ll finally read everything I plan. 👏🏻 In general, I’m very good at following my TBR, but last month I was messy with that, so this month I hope I can stick to my plans, I know I can do it! I wasn’t planning, though, to participate in anything this month… BUT I found many incredible readathons taking place in June, some of you let me know of many readathons through Twitter, which I’m very thankful for, and I decided to give one of them a chance to have a little fun while reading, also everything fits perfectly with my book pile.

So, the readathon I’ve chosen is Make Your Myth-Taker readathon, which I absolutely adore because it’s amazing, fun, and super original. 😍  It’s created by Ashleigh from A Frolic Through Fiction and takes place throughout the whole month of June, for more information better explained and more detailed I’ll leave you here the video of the announcement with everything you need to know. In summary, this readathon is based on choosing a fictional character and following a series of promps to become her/him. There are 4 groups: Warrior, Royal Court, Rogue & Sorcerer, of these each group there are 4 characters from which you can choose one or several as you want, to follow her/him path. Later I will show you which character and which group I’ve chosen to be, but yes! I think it will be a lot of fun and I hope that many people will join!  🌟

On the other hand, I also want to incorporate in this challenge books that are on my lists of mini-TBRs for this year, you know that I want to try to read more sci-fi, so I have incorporated one of which I don’t know much, but I know that it’s very loved and recognized. I try reading it once, but it didn’t work, so it’s also like a second-chance reading. 🚀
In addition, as always, I’ll be incorporating an ARC, for which I will be participating in the blog tour  📚
And last but not least, I’m about to finish reading my 2020 5-star predictions, so here you’ll also see another one that I’ll be trying, SUPER EXCITED because honestly, I feel that I’ll love this book, the premise sounds amazing to me and I’ve heard the best things. 😄
Apart from all this, I really want to try to read much more of the books that I’ll be putting and sharing with you in this post. I’ve decided that it feels good for me this month to try to follow my mood and choose something during the month simply without planning it, surely from my physical TBR, so I’ll be sharing it later and maybe you can even help me choose other books. I hope this isn’t confusing for you, but I hope it works for me and somehow be more relaxing and be able to read a little more of just what I feel at the moment, you know?  🥰
So I don’t want to waste any more time, I’m very excited to share my plans for this month with you and I hope you enjoy it, LOVE YOU FOREVER! 🍂  Continue reading “June TBR | #MakeYourMythTaker Readathon & Catching up with my Own Challenges 🍂”

May TBR | Reading Challenges & Continuing Series: An Ambitious but Exciting Stack 🍂

May TBR | Reading Challenges & Continuing Series: An Ambitious but Exciting Stack 🍂

🍂 Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of May. Super excited for my TBR this month, you know that I’ve been participating in the OWLs the previous month and it was a lot of fun, and I was able to read everything I planned and a little more, so this month I feel quite motivated to continue with that energy and read a lot. 😊 I know and am aware that I may not finish all my readings but even so, I feel so genuinely eager to read each one of these books that I know that at least I’ll be trying and I hope it’s a fun experience and I manage to keep a good reading rhythm. 📚 I’m not participating in any reading challenge other than those that I’ve imposed on myself, so I have put together a very diverse and promising stack to read and I’m excited to share it with you.  👏🏻

I know that I always thank you in my Wrap Ups, but since I’m writing these post with a lot of anticipation, I wanted to thank you again because April has been the best month of the year for my blog and I owe everything to your support, I’ve also had the pleasure and the blessing of being “blog of the day” on Twitter, for the third time! 😍 Which is crazy, but I appreciate it SO SO much and I use all that support as a great incentive to keep working and improving every day. SO HAPPY, I have a lot of fun ideas and discussions and weird posts for this month lol, so I hope you decide to stay there to share it with me and if you’re new and just start following the blog, THANK YOU SO MUCH, it means the world to me! ❤️

So going back to my readings, I’ve decided to continue with my personal challenge of reading popular old YA series, and this month you will surely excited as much as I am, I think it’s time that I have an opinion on these SO beloved books. 🥰 Then, you know that I’ve created mini-TBRs in order to read more genres and this month I’ve decided to start with my Sci-Fi stack, so you will see what my choice is, I’m a little nervous about this one, but also intrigued, you know this is a hit or miss genre for me, so we’ll see *fingers crossed* 🚀
I’ll also be continuing some series that I’m enjoying very much and these continuations really sound AMAZING, and I can’t wait to read about all these characters again. 🌟
Last but not least, I’ve included an ARC which despite not having heard much about it, sounds very good, and I’m excited to read it. 👍🏻
So without further ado, I hope you have a wonderful month, and let’s start, I’m SO excited to share with you what I’m going to be reading! 🍂 Continue reading “May TBR | Reading Challenges & Continuing Series: An Ambitious but Exciting Stack 🍂”

Abril TBR 🍂 | O.W.L.s Magical Readathon 2020 💛

Abril TBR 🍂 | O.W.L.s Magical Readathon 2020 💛

🍂 Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of April, but this time it’s super special because I’ll be participating throughout the month in a new edition of the OWLs Magical Readathon 💫, which I love SO much, I’m super excited to share this experience with you, I also know that many of you will be participating, so it’s even more special than most of us can share the same energy during this month and of course, share what we’ll be reading and our goals in general. 🥰

Here in my country, we’re still in mandatory quarantine, I have many posts mentioning the same thing, but I like to keep you informed, especially since I know that most of you are from other countries, so I think there’s something very important in sharing this type of information worldwide for us to be more aware of what’s happening, there’s nothing more powerful and important than information. So, this is why I wanted to share with you that I’m still in quarantine until, at least, half a month, then we’ll see what happens, the important thing is to stay safe and take care of others as well, so although it can be a little stressful, I try to keep my energy as positive as possible knowing that I’m doing my best to help in these dark moments. This said, I hope I can read everything I plan, beyond having time sometimes mentally it’s impossible to read or do anything else, and I know you understand me, so let’s hope that everything flows in the most perfect way possible and hopefully I’ll be accomplishing with my goals and with the career that I’ve chosen.😊

The OWLs start on the 1st of April and end on the 30th of April, this so creative and wonderful readathon is created by Book Roast, I recommend that you check her channel, it’s wonderful and I’ve had the great pleasure of being part of a recommendation series for my house: Hufflepuff last year, in which I give you some ideas for each promp & was a blessing. ALL the information is in the video that I’m leaving here for you, you’ll be able to find out everything you need to know, from the Wizarding Careers available this year to the letter and prompts, and many fun new things that have been added this 2020 💫, so check it out for a much more complete and informative overview of the Magical Readathon. 💛

I don’t have much more to say right now, I’m super excited and happy to be able to participate again another year, it feels beautiful to be able to share with so many other readers of the same experience, it’s really magical. So without further ado, I’m dying to tell you which career I’ve chosen and what I’ll be reading to get my wizard degree this 2020 😍… so, let’s start! 🍂 Continue reading “Abril TBR 🍂 | O.W.L.s Magical Readathon 2020 💛”

March TBR | It’s all about Sequels, Unexpected Reads & a Popular YA Trilogy 🎍

March TBR | It’s all about Sequels, Unexpected Reads & a Popular YA Trilogy 🎍

🎍 Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of March. For some reason, I always feel that the year really begins in March, so I feel with special energy, maybe because the vacation has just ended and all that. I think that from my TBR last month I only have 1 book left to read, and although I feel I could have read more, I think I’m doing a very good job so far, I’m enjoying my reading process a lot and I’m also taking it easy, so YAY! 👏🏻 this makes me feel even more ambitious and eager to read more. I don’t have the biggest plans yet for this month more than my normal daily life and read, so I feel pretty sure I can handle my stack. I’m super excited to tell you all about my reading plans for this month! 😍

I hope not to get you tired with this, but it’s really important for me to thank you for the wonderful support you’re showing me and my blog this year, there’s not a day that you don’t make me feel special, loved and supported and that means the world to me. 😭  My efforts and my desire to grow with my blog come from all that wonderful energy that you send me with every moment you take to read my post, so THANK YOU SO SO MUCH. You’re all wonderful people and I hope we share many many magical moments together this year. LOVE YOU!! ❤️

I wanted to tell you that this month I’ll not be uploading my post where I highlight other posts around the blogosphere (Book Bloggers Monthly Appreciation) because I’ve had a problem … My boyfriend gave me a new cell phone for my birthday and in the process of changing everything and those things something happened with the WordPress app and I don’t have any saved entries of the many that I had to highlight from February. So I’m very sorry, I promise to return with even more highlights of the month of March, but obviously, you’ll see that just next month. Thanks for understanding, I feel so bad, but you know I want to always support you! and I won’t stop doing it 🥰

So, what are we here today? … BOOKS! 😍 This month I’m very excited about my selection because I have several books that I’ve wanted to read for some time now, especially sequels or continuations of series, I have some very interesting exciting titles here and I can’t wait to share with you!. For the first time, I will be part of a blog tour so that’s something new and exciting that I’ll be sharing that with you later in the month. I’ll also be reading a super-anticipated book from last year that has more than controversial opinions and a fairly unique promise. And last but not least, I’m continuing my challenge of reading old YA series, but this time I’ve chosen it well in advance, so I haven’t made a poll as before, this is because I LOVE the author, so I’m more than excited and super ready to read more of her work, especially one that is so loved and recognized. Now, without further ado, LET’S BEGIN 😊 and I hope you enjoy discovering what I’ll be reading & share your own readings in the comments, I’d LOVE to know! 🎍  Continue reading “March TBR | It’s all about Sequels, Unexpected Reads & a Popular YA Trilogy 🎍”

February TBR | First TBR Jar Pick of the Year, ARCs & Witchy Reads 🎍

February TBR | First TBR Jar Pick of the Year, ARCs & Witchy Reads 🎍

🎍 Hi, my beautiful bookish friends! I hope you’re having the most incredible day with the best readings.❤️ Today I bring you a new Monthly TBR, where I share with you my reading plans for the month of February. This is a super special month for me because it’s my birthday month! YAY! 🎊 I’ve never been a fan of celebrating my birthdays, but this year I feel so blessed with so many good things in my life that I’m really super excited about it and besides being able to celebrate my 26 years with you, nothing makes me happier! 😭 And for this special month, I’ve planned a special stack of books to enjoy and share with you.
I think that seeing the whole picture I had a very good January in readings, I’ve read a lot, I’ve almost completed my TBR and I’ve also reached a record for me in pages read, so I’m very excited to continue with that streak during the year and obviously in this February.

Speaking about my readings, I’m super excited to tell you that I’ll be participating in the #Februwitchy readathon hosted by Asha | A Cat, A Book, and A Cup Of Tea | This readathon takes place throughout the month of February and there’s no specific rule you just have to read books about witches 🧙‍♀️ , and it works both if it has the name witch in the title as if it’s specifically about witches, you know? I leave the link in case you’re interested and want to know more, all you have to do is sing up in a Google Doc, the one that Asha provides you and there you can add your TBR and your books read during the month. It will be a lot of fun! so if you like witches I recommend you check it out. Personally, I’ll not be reading ONLY about witches, but I do have a small stack that has been reserved to participate because you know that I LOVE witches 👏🏻 and there are several books that I’ve been wanting to read for a while, so it’s perfect, I’m doing this as a gift for myself in my birthday month & nothing can be better. 😍

Then I also have a couple of ARCs, as always, which I feel absolutely blessed to be able to read before their release date & in addition to ALL of this, I have a book that I’ve been wanting to read for months now, with another one that I’ve chosen from my TBR Jar. As you know, I’ve started doing the Lows & Highs posts every Sunday in order to clean my TBR and from there you have chosen a book every week, a book that has gone directly to my TBR Jar, so from there I have chosen one for the month, and I’m a little scared about it, but I think it will be fun to know what I think and share it with you. 😊  So without further ado, I want to jump right into to show you everything I plan to read in the month of February, I hope you enjoy it and thanks for being there ALWAYS 💞, you’re amazing. 🎍 Continue reading “February TBR | First TBR Jar Pick of the Year, ARCs & Witchy Reads 🎍”

Top 5 || Sci-Fi Books I Want to Read in 2020 🚀

Top 5 || Sci-Fi Books I Want to Read in 2020 🚀

🚀 Hi, guys! I hope you ‘re having the best day ever and that you ‘re enjoying your reading!❤️ Today I bring you a new Top 5 because seems like I’ve become addicted to them 😅 , and I thought it would be fun to add some challenge, so in this “top 5” I’ll be sharing with you some sci-fi books that I want to try to read in this 2020.
This is a huge challenge for me because this genre has always been a hit or miss, but I thought it would be fun to see what I think about those who most attract my attention right now. In this list I’ll be showing you 5 sci-fi books that I think sound great, they’re also very popular and loved & they’re also books that are mostly located in space or on other planets, that’s why I’ve chosen them. We know that there are many types of sci-fi, but the only ones that represent a challenge for me are those that have to do with space things, spaceships travel and universe planets, so obviously that will be what I’ll be trying to read.  🌌
I would never do this if I don’t think that there’s a possibility that I enjoy these books, I used to judge the genre a lot, to the point that I closed myself to want to read more because while I enjoy a lot of technological, alien things and time travel stuff, the things that happen in spaceships are another story. So, what changed my mind so I want to try again with this kind of genre? well, I read a book last year that I absolutely LOVED and made me re-think the idea that maybe I can enjoy space things and that was: Skyward by Brandon Sanderson, not only was amazing but it was in my top of favorite books of the year, it was a great surprise for me to enjoy it so much, so I thought, let’s do it! I’m going to put myself on this kind of annual challenge and obviously, you’ll witness my progress during 2020. I’ll not have any type of restriction to myself, by this I mean that if I’m not really enjoying the book, then I’ll not have problems and I’ll no doubt In “DNF”, this is just an experiment where I intend to see if I really have a real problem with this genre or I just haven’t read the indicated books, so this pretend to be fun and entertaining especially for me, in the first place, so if stop being it, I’ll stop and put at end to this relationship.  😂
It can be fun but it can also be a disaster so we’ll see what happens, it will surely be interesting. I hope you like the idea and decide to join me in this space adventure. 🥰
Now without further ado, let’s start! 🚀  Continue reading “Top 5 || Sci-Fi Books I Want to Read in 2020 🚀”
