TOP 5 | Atmospheric Book Recommendations | #2 🌿

🌿 Hi guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day, full of good readings, and of course, you’re safe and healthy.❤️ Today I returned with the second part of my atmospheric book recommendations, it made me SO SO happy to see that you liked the first top 5, so I’m super excited to bring you more amazing recs of books that, of course, I’ve read and enjoyed myself and feel that you could too. So here, as I said in the first post, I’ll be sharing books with wonderful & vivid settings, others somewhat creepy, but above all beautiful and 100% atmospheric. 👏🏻 The idea came out to me because I honestly LOVE this feature in books, it’s one of my favorite factors when I choose what to read and it always ends up having a great impact on my enjoyment, I just adore atmospheric books, when you feel that you can be in the place where the characters are and especially when you feel that you’re surrounded by that immensity or that landscape so vivid that you can almost touch, smell and feel everything around you. This is a feeling that I adore with my heart, so what I want with these posts is that you can also find a book that can make you feel all that and much more while enjoying the story and managing to fully commit yourself to the plot. 😍
I would love to know your opinion and your own recommendations for me, I’ll be adding MANY books to my TBR, so don’t hesitate to let me know everything in the comments. 🥰
Now without further ado, let’s begin, I’m super excited to share this very atmospheric top with you & I hope you enjoy. 🌿 Continue reading “TOP 5 | Atmospheric Book Recommendations | #2 🌿”

TBR LOWS & HIGHS #22 🌙

TBR LOWS & HIGHS #22 🌙

🌙 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a wonderful day full of good readings. Super excited cause this weekly series will be focused on helping me clean my Goodreads shelves and also prioritize some readings and organize myself in general. I LOVE this idea, I know that many of you already know it and do it as well, the creator is the incredible: Destiny | Howling Libraries | 💫 whom I love as a human being and I respect a lot as a book blogger ❤️, so it’s really a pleasure to start with this new project especially because it’s created by someone who I admire a lot and that makes me very happy, I also really need help to organize my books, So here we go! 👏🏻

I wanted to give it my own twist to make it more fun and also fit my needs or what I hope to do with my books and my readings. So I’ve decided that as well as Destiny, I’ll be opening voting every week so that you can participate in the whole process and help me decide which books to prioritize, for this: I’ll ask you to vote for one of the books in the “LOWS” section and not only I’ll be adding it to my priority list, but I’ll also be creating my own TBR Jar with each of your choices!. So, every week the book you choose from my selection will be added to my TBR Jar and then at the end of the month, I’ll choose one of them to read and finally give a real chance to it. I’ll not be removing all my “LOWS”, only some if necessary, maybe one per week or sometimes none, I’ll be super honest about them and I hope you can help me make a decision anything can happen in these posts! LOL 🥰

I hope you like this idea, I think it will be fun, I’ll be cleaning my Goodreads shelves a bit, which is great, but you can also participate in the process and so will have a super interactive experience, so we can all have a little fun 🌙 Continue reading “TBR LOWS & HIGHS #22 🌙”

🎍 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having an incredible day and a very nice week, especially enjoying all your reading.❤️ Today I’m super excited because believe it or not, that moment of the year has come again where we’re going to summarize a little how my year of reading is going so far with this tag that called: The Mid-Year Freak Out Book Tag 😍. I can’t believe that the year is happening so fast, but somehow I’m glad because it’s one of the most intense years for humanity, so I hope that next year will be better and we’ll be more peaceful, calm and healthy. 🤞🏻 I confess that it’s not being my best year in terms of reading, but I think it makes sense because it’s due a lot to the times we’re living, and especially to stress and things, so I’m not bothered by what I’ve read, and I know I still have many months ahead of me to find incredible books. I hope that your year is going in the best way possible and above all, that you’re finding great readings to escape a little of all thing happening, but don’t be so hard on yourself if you haven’t been able to read as much as you want, these are difficult times, so it’s ok to dedicate more time to yourself and to do other things. 😊 I hope you enjoy the tag, my love, I’m super excited to share with you many of my readings from this 2020, I always have a lot of fun doing this tag, and it will also be interesting to see a summary of my year answering each question. So without further ado, LET’S START! 🎍

🏳️‍🌈 Hi, guys! I hope you’re having the most wonderful day and for all the members of the LBGT+ community, HAPPY month, my loves, be proud of yourself always: love is love! ❤️ Today I’m very excited to bring you this compilation of many books featuring LGBT+ characters and also many of them own voices, which is super important, all this to celebrate this pride month as every year. This is also a super important post because always through them, like many blogger friends, we try to promote the reading of own voices’ authors within the LGBT+ community, in order to continue teaching and showing the world that there’s nothing more beautiful than love in all its forms. 🥰
Also, I want to share with you, because you’re my family too: last month my brother has decided to come out to me and we have shared a really unique moment, he represents himself as bisexual, and although he’s still not sure because he’s only 16 years old and he’s still discovering about how he feels and how he represents himself, I’m 100% a proud big sister, he’s my younger brother and I couldn’t admire his strength and courage more at every step he takes in his life. It makes me want to cry, I’m just SO excited and happy for him 😭 😭 😭, so I just wanted to share this experience with you, and also speak directly to all the families and beings in the world who come here, and transmit the love and support that you should always have with the beings that you love and the respect and admiration that you must feel for their choices. We come to the world to evolve so accept, love, and be happy, we are all a miracle. 😍
So, super excited to share this incredible list of 2020 releases with you, many of them you may have already seen me talk about here on the blog or many of them are already on many of my lists, but I still wanted to put each title together so you have a resource to go to fill your TBR with more and more diversity and love 👏🏻. Synopsis

Echo Brown is a wizard from the East Side, where apartments are small and parents suffer addictions to the white rocks. Yet there is magic . . . everywhere. New portals begin to open when Echo transfers to the rich school on the West Side, and an insightful teacher becomes a pivotal mentor. Each day, Echo travels between two worlds, leaving her brothers, her friends, and a piece of herself behind on the East Side. There are dangers to leaving behind the place that made you. Echo soon realizes there is pain flowing through everyone around her, and a black veil of depression threatens to undo everything she’s worked for.

Heavily autobiographical and infused with magical realism, Black Girl Unlimited fearlessly explores the intersections of poverty, sexual violence, depression, racism, and sexism—all through the arc of a transcendent coming-of-age.

A powerful memoir for fans of Piecing Me Together by Renee Watson and American Street by Ibi Zoboi.

2020 Book Releases by Black Authors & Resources to Help and Support ⚡️

⚡️ Hi, guys! I hope you’re having a beautiful day and you’re enjoying your readings.❤️ Today I’ve decided to bring you an extensive list with many 2020 releases of books written by black authors. As a blogger I think it’s my responsibility to use my platform to support and raise the voices of those who need it most right now, I’ve already done this in my wrap up & my social media, but I felt that I could give more and do more, so as my blog is about books, I’ve been collecting many incredible releases that you can enjoy and add to your TBR to somehow put a little of us at this difficult time supporting 100% black authors with their literary projects. I’ve seen that many fellow book bloggers have been doing this and also other types of posts talking about the #BlackLivesMatter movement and I think it’s wonderful, don’t think that because you have little reach or few followers, you’re not helping, on the contrary, it’s our duty as citizens and even more In our places of privilege to raise our voices right now, it’s not time to stay silent, so I invite you to also spread the word and give power to the movement by sharing links on all your social networks, signing petitions, making donations, or as you can, we can all help at this time so please do so. This is a social problem of racism, not a political thing as I’ve been hearing so it’s our duty to really raise the voices of the black community right now. There are no excuses.⚡️  Continue reading “2020 Book Releases by Black Authors & Resources to Help and Support ⚡️”

It has been mere days in the world of Eon, where Rune Jenkins, her twin brother Ryker, and their friend Grey have been trapped, fighting for their lives. After discovering the truth of their ancestry, the three are far from home, and far from anything resembling their mundane lives of the past.
While Ryker is still held captive by the eerily beautiful Zio and her goblins, Grey falls into the clutches of Feena, the Fae queen. She begins to drain his soul bit by bit to feed her dark underground garden, and Grey has no hope of escaping on his own.

It is now up to Rune to save Grey, as his precious time slips away inexorably. But the Council has denied her permission to embark on a rescue mission, until she can harness her Venator gifts and prove herself capable of venturing into the Fae queen’s territory. As Rune discovers that promises in Eon are forged with life-or-death consequences, she realizes that she must act quickly, or else be swallowed and Grey along with her by the dangers of Eon.
