❄️ Hi guys!! I hope you’re having the best day & you’re enjoying your reading 💞 Today I bring you our beloved Wrap Up of the month of August where I’ll talk about all the books I’ve read during the month. Well, this has certainly been a wild month for me, I’ve had very bad times, I’ve managed to cope with them, both with your help and my family’s, today I’m optimistic and positive, ready for what life has prepared for me in the future. 🌻
I don’t want to make this an endless post, but I still wouldn’t want to start without thanking you for being there when I lost my job and needed a few days for myself, for being understanding and so warm with me, I swear you’re an angel and my safe place, I LOVE YOU.❤️
Despite this, I’ve made the decision this month, finally, to changed a little the blog, so I’ve given it a new look, I know it’s different but I like it. I think it represents me well, it’s simple but romantic and delicate, I hope you like it as well. I haven’t finished yet, there are several things I want to do as I get used to the new thing, but I’m still researching and learning how all this works, I’m not a designer and I don’t know much about informatics or those things, so sometimes it gets complicated, but I‘m having fun changing some simple things and I feel energetic to make this a small new beginning for the blog, so I can’t wait. 😊
In addition to having renewed the image, I’ve also bought my own domain and I’ve got a premium plan here on WordPress, my idea is to try for a year and see how I feel about it and see what changes and differences I can get. I know it’s not necessary to have this kind of plan to be a good blogger, I don’t think that at all, but I wanted to take this as a new experience and a one-year adventure and see how I feel about it. You know that I love my blog and being here with you, so I feel it’s more like an investment, and that’s super exciting to me. 🥰 👏🏻
I’m a little late with my posts, in general, so don’t worry everything will come but a little later, I still have to plan my TBR, but I’ll talk more about it in another post and I also have to write a review of a book that I loved, which I’ll talk more about next! 😍
So, speaking about my readings of the month, I’m very happy with everything I’ve read and how my month has been in that regard. Sadly, I failed just for one book to complete my TBR, but I’m still happy for what I achieved. 📚 I’m SO happy because I’ve managed to read ALL the ARCs that I set out to. I also listened to my first audiobook and OMG, it was an INCREDIBLE experience, I really enjoyed it, so I hope to continue listening, maybe one per month or something like that. I really enjoyed participating for the first time in the NEWTs, I failed as I thought I would, but Oh, I had a lot of fun, so I’d say it was a success, right? or at least it’s what I want to believe 😂
So without further ado, LET’S START, I’m so excited to talk with you about the books I read ❄️

This is the third and final book in Silent Sea Chronicles. I’m so grateful to the author, who has provided me with copies of her books to review, I’ve enjoyed this journey very much.
There’s not much I can say about the third book without spoilers, so I’ll only tell you that these books are very powerful, you follow characters during a journey to save the magic, there are many travels scenes since the characters travel a very long way through each book, we have a lot of war going on, magic and political issues too. Although I acknowledge that the quality of the world construction and characters have grown incredibly and in this third installment, finally, you can appreciate that in its fullness. I love how the author has been able to give a close to so many points that hadn’t been resolved, also very endearing characters return, and I love when that happens.
It touches a lot the meaning of destiny and has many action scenes, we can also enjoy shocking moments and others of great tension that will keep you on the edge of your seat.I’m sad that it’s over but happy to have experienced it, it’s a story worth reading
Super grateful to the author, as well, for sending me a copy to review. I usually don’t read much sci-fi, I think it’s not my thing and those elements sometimes make me unable to fully enjoy the plot, but with this one, I made an exception because it involves superpowers, and I LOVE those types of elements. I ended up enjoying the book, I think may need some adjusted and even eliminate certain chapters, but taking that fact aside, is an incredible story. The Shadowverse follows the story of a group of friends who obtain superpowers and must fight against a fearsome villain to save not only their planet but much more.
I think the idea of the plot is clearly very well thought out, the book has a captivating beginning that keeps you wanting to know what will happen next. I also enjoyed the characters, which feels very real, and I liked the writing style. Sadly there are elements of sci-fi that I couldn’t enjoy, but that ‘s super personal, otherwise, I think it’s a book and a story with great potential and I’m excited to see the author’s growth since he’s still very young. A great job!
What an incredible surprise I have with this book, I really didn’t expect that I liked it so much but it has great potential. The story is mostly paranormal, although it has elements of fantasy as well, in this story we meet the Legends through Mara’s point of view, our main character, she’ll explain to us what it means to be a legend and how they’ve evolved to be where they are today.
One of my favorite things about it is, no doubt, the writing style, this author has incredible prose handling, I loved how it feels so addictive and is hard to stop reading. It can also be beautiful and kind of dark at the same time.
To be the author’s first debut, I think it’s a very good book, although I think the characters are quite a cliche and there’s nothing really special about them, I liked it a lot due to the plot and the way it achieves to surprise with unexpected plot twists.
I think deserves everyone to give it a chance, it’s a super interesting plot and the paranormal structure is pretty good as well
My First Audiobook
OMG, this book is really amazing. As I mentioned, it is my first audiobook EVER, and I’m happy to have chosen this one to start with, it was a beautiful experience, and I can’t wait to try another one. The book is told in an interview format, so I think listening to it in audiobook format is the best way to go for it. It has a fantastic cast of voices, which makes the story feel VERY real. It has a captivating plot and the characters are incredibly complex, so if I say that it’s addictive, I fell short, really. The plot itself, despite the fact that I fall in love with and repeat, it feels 100% real, it hurts my feelings so much, that I still think about it and I want to cry, don’ know why, but I get too attached to certain characters and I think that some things that happened to them were unfair and that hurt my little heart, even so, and disagreeing with how things ended, I’m happy to have read this book. Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of the most talented authors whom I’ve had the pleasure of reading, I can’t wait to continue reading her stories, and also the way she creates characters is honestly WONDERFUL. If you still haven’t given a chance to the author I recommend you do it, it’s SO AMAZING. I still love Evelyn Hugo more, but this book is incredible as well, so I recommend it a lot
Amazing & Surprising Readings!
This is another book that I didn’t think I would love this much, but I did. It’s a romantic plot based on the book “Illiad” and the Trojan War. It’s a book with a very beautiful, complex and poetic writing style, it also has a couple of characters that I LOVED, especially Patroclus and Briseis. But beyond that, ALL the characters are incredibly created and their developments during the book are super interesting to follow.
I usually love stories based on mythology and especially the Greek one, is one of my favorites, so I really enjoy that aspect of the book, I adore that there are gods and mythological beings, it’s a lot of fun for me.
Another thing that I absolutely adored is the romance, I finally found the kind of romance I needed, it’s sweet and passionate and you just want to read all the scenes of Achilles and Patroclus together, because their bond is beautiful and eternal, I loved it so much!
I know I’m late to the party, but I loved this book a lot and I’m excited to read Circe!
OMG, you guys, THIS BOOK!!! I haven’t written my review for it yet, so I’ll have it on the blog soon, but spoilers alert: I LOVED it and it’s probably my favorite book of the month.
It’s so beautiful, meaningful and sensitive. I don’t know why I hadn’t read it until now but thank God I did it, I adore the human content that this book has and how important issues such as sexuality within religion are discussed and it’s also about friendship and has self-discovery as the main point. Soon I’ll talk more about it, but simply an INCREDIBLE book, I hope you’ve read it because I can’t recommend it enough

I’m going just a little a bit inside it, but even when I didn’t finish it by August I will continue reading it and possibly finish it in a couple of days. I’m enjoying it a lot so far, but obviously, it’s a bit slow because it touches a subject as hard as rape. I already have SO MANY feelings and thoughts, so it will surely be a long review. I would love to know what you think if you’ve read it! 😊
