💫 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day! Today I bring you another part of our series, the book meme “Down the TBR Hole”which I’m doing hoping that it will help me to reduce the number of books that are in my current TBR

My plan is to upload this meme every week!. I’ll show you 10 books of which I’ll choose which one I’ll keep or get rid of. I want to make this weekly meme as interactive as possible, so I’ll be consulting a lot with you, to decide what to do. There will be those books which I’ll be interested in (Keep), those which I’ll not be interested in anymore (GO) and those which I’ll not be sure about, and with those, I’ll need your help. So please, let me know all your thoughts in the comments and I’ll be able to take my decision and let you know in the next post. 💫

I’m very happy because I’ve seen that you have participated a lot in the previous post, leaving me your comments, so I’m super excited to continue with this weekly meme.
If you’re doing the same meme right now, let me know so I can check your post out and leave my thoughts there 💖

☕️ #1 – The Hearts We Sold by Emily Lloyd-Jones

|| Goodreads ||

This is a YA Paranormal/Fantasy book. Is the story about Dee Moreno, she makes a deal with a demon, where she exchanges her heart to be able to escape from a destroyed home. Now she has become a “heartless” and the only people who can understand her are others who have also made a deal. In this group, Dee meets James and she begins to feel things for him, but, can she give her heart to someone when it no longer belongs to her?
This book sounds VERY good and also quite original, I know I should not expect it to be dark because I’ve read some reviews, but I’m still interested. The main character is half Latina and that makes me SO happy, so I’ll give it a chance, maybe I’ll put it in my stack of books for “Try a Chapter Tag”  😊

☕️ #2 – Wicked Like a Wildfire (Hibiscus Daughter #1) by Lana Popović

|| Goodreads ||

This is a YA Fantasy book. All women in Iris and Malina’s family have a unique magical ability: to manipulate beauty.
Iris and Malina can’t share their magic with anyone and, above all, they’re forbidden to fall in love. But when their mother is mysteriously attacked, the sisters will have to unearth the truth behind the quiet lives that their mother has built for them. They’ll discover a curse that torments their family line
This book sounds like a lot of fun, I LOVE books where there’s a kind of magical power or unique “gift”, and this really sounds like something I’ve never read before. I haven’t heard much about this book, in fact, when I saw the cover I thought I’d already removed it from my TBR, but no, so I guess it just looks a lot like another one lol. I’ve seen several reviews where says it’s a very slow and heavy book, so what I’ll do is add it to my “Try a Chapter Tag” stack, because I know I’ll be doing that very soon, so I think it’ll be fun. It’s a book I don’t want to eliminate without at least try to read it. Let me know if you’ve read it, I would love to know! 😊

☕️ #3 – The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding (The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding #1) by Alexandra Bracken

|| Goodreads ||

This is a MG Fantasy/Paranormal book. Prosper is the only Redding not exceptional in his family history until he discovers that a demon lives inside him. His great great great great grand great grandfather made – and then broke – a contract with a malefactor, a demon who exchanges fortune for eternal servitude. Now in the present, the demon, Alastor, has reawakened with a purpose: to destroy the family whose success he ensured and who later betrayed him. The malefactor’s control over Prosper body grows stronger with each passing night, and there’s a lot Alastor is not telling his dim-witted human host.
Well, first I have to say that if a book is written by Alexandra Bracken then possibly I’ll be reading it,The Darkest Minds is one of my favorite trilogies (series), so obviously I’m highly interested in the author’s works, I have all in my TBR, none I have read yet, though, which needs to change because I’m dying to give this one a chance. MG isn’t a genre that I usually read a lot, but I think it will be fun, mysterious and easy to read, so I’m on board!  👏🏻

☕️ #4 – Fireblood (Frostblood Saga #2) by Elly Blake

|| Goodreads || Frostblood #1 Review ||

This is a YA Fantasy book. Is a second book in what is a trilogy, that’s why I can’t tell much about it, but I’ll tell you very briefly about the first book Frostblood.
The plot focuses on Ruby, she’s a Fireblood, which means she can control fire; She must live her life hiding since those of her species are considered dangerous and evil, this is why they are almost non-existent, but one day the king’s soldiers find her and take her prisoner, until Arcus appears, he’s a Frostblood (control over ice), who releases her from her cell and from here the story begins to take shape …
I highly enjoyed the first book, and at that moment I think I had an ARC from this book, once the second one came out I was reading other things and I just forgot about. Even so, I’m dying to re-read the first book to continue with the trilogy.
I think it’s super interesting and although it has some cliches in terms of relationships, I really love the way in which the author has created these types of elemental magic, which are always my favorite type of powers, so I’m keeping this one on my TBR and I recommend it a lot if you’re interested in that kind of things like me.  👍🏻

☕️ #5 – Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody

|| Goodreads ||

This is a YA Fantasy/Mystery book. Sorina stands apart as the only illusionist born in hundreds of years. This rare talent allows her to create illusions that others can see, feel and touch, with their own personalities. Her creations are her family, and together they make up the cast of the Festival’s Freak Show. Their illusions remain just that, illusions. Or that she always believed … until one of them is killed. Desperate to protect her family, Sorina must locate the culprit and determine how they killed a person who doesn’t really exist. Her research will take her through a haze of political turmoil and forbidden romance, and into the most sinister corners of the Festival.
It sounds very good, not gonna lie, and I like the fact that it’s a Stand-Alone Fantasy since there aren’t many of them. I really like the power that the main character has, reminds me of one of my favorite characters Adelina, from The Young Elite series, who has a similar power, it’s not the same but it reminds me of her.
Even though it sounds quite intriguing, I would like to know your opinion about this before making a decision, I’ve seen several reviews and they’re quite average, so let me know everything in the comments!. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

☕️ #6– Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia

|| Goodreads ||

This is a YA Contemporary/Romance book. In the real world, Eliza Mirk is shy, weird and friendless. Online, she’s LadyConstellation, the anonymous creator of the extremely popular webcomic Monster Sea. Then Wallace Warland, the biggest fan-fiction writer of Monstrous Sea, moves to her school. Wallace believes that Eliza is just another fan, and when she pulls her out of her shell, she begins to wonder if life out of line could be worth it.
But when Eliza’s secret is accidentally shared with the world, everything she builds, her story, her relationship with Wallace and even her sanity, begins to fall apart.
I’ve heard SO MANY wonderful things about this book, that I really feel that if I don’t read it I’m losing something amazing, on the other hand, many people compare it with Fangirl, and I don’t like that book so that makes me feel insecure about it. Even so, I’ll give it an opportunity because I feel that it could be a very important book, I know it touches a lot of topics like Mental Health, so it could be a beautiful and emotional book

☕️ #7– The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic (Grishaverse) by Leigh Bardugo

|| Goodreads ||

This is a YA Fantasy/Short-Stories book. “Travel to a world of dark bargains struck by moonlight, of haunted towns and hungry woods, of talking beasts and gingerbread golems, where a young mermaid’s voice can summon deadly storms and where to river might do a lovestruck boy’s bidding but only for a terrible price.”
The real question here is… why I haven’t read it yet?!! you know Leigh is a queen for me, I LOVE her books and the Grishaverse is one of my favorites things, I love being immersed in that world, ALWAYS.
So there are no excuses here, just need to HAPPEN. PS: the cover is so beautiful! 😍

☕️ #8– Legacy of Kings (Blood of Gods and Royals #1) by Eleanor Herman

|| Goodreads ||

This is a YA Historical-Fiction/Fantasy book. Alexander, Macedonia’s sixteen-year-old heir, is about to discover his fated role in the conquest of the known world. Katerina must navigate the dark court life secrets while keeping her own mission hidden: kill the queen. Jacob will do the impossible to win Katerina, even if that means having to compete with Hephaestion, a murderer in the Prince’s shelter. And along the sea, Zofia, a Persian princess, seeks the deadly spirit-eaters to alter her destiny.
Ok, this book sounds a lot like The Falling Kingdom series and that makes me want to read them. I think it sounds like something I’ll enjoy and love. I don’t know why but sometimes there are books that although I’ve never heard of them, I just want to read because they sound perfect for me, and this is one of those times. They’ve made these beautiful editions in paperback, and I can’t wait to have them in my hands.
I would LOVE to know if you’ve heard of these books and what do you think?! Sounds interesting to you?  🤔

☕️ #9– Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

|| Goodreads ||

This is an Adult-Fiction Contemporary book. In Shaker Heights, a placid, progressive suburb of Cleveland, everything is meticulously planned – from the layout of the winding roads to the colors of the houses, to the successful lives of its residents will go to lead. And no one embodies this spirit more than Elena Richardson, whose guiding principle is playing by the rules. Enter Mia Warren – an enigmatic artist and single mother – who arrives in this idyllic bubble with her teenage daughter Pearl, and rents a house from the Richardsons. But Mia carries with her a mysterious past, and a disregard for the rules that threatens to upend this carefully ordered community. When the Richardsons’ friends attempted to adopt Chinese-American baby, to custody battle erupts that dramatically divides the town and puts Mia and Mrs. Richardson on opposing sides. Suspicious of Mia and her motives, Mrs. Richardson is determined to uncover the secrets in Mia’s past. But her obsession will come at unexpected and devastating costs to her own family – and Mia’s.
OMG, I wanted to read this book since it came out, it sounds like that kind of mystery movies that I love, when you think you know who’s the bad guy but actually, you have no idea lol. I feel that’s a book that touches strong themes, for what I’ve heard is addictive and shocking so I can’t wait, it will be incredible, I have great expectations. 😍

☕️ #10– A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard

|| Goodreads ||

This is a YA Contemporary/Romance book. Steffi has been a selective mute for most of her life – she’s been silent for so long that she feels completely invisible. But Rhys, the new boy at school, sees her. He’s deaf, and her knowledge of basic sign language means that she’s assigned to look after him. To Rhys, it does not matter that Steffi does not talk, and they find ways to communicate, Steffi finds that she does have a voice, and that she’s falling in love with the one person who makes her feel brave enough to use Item.
This is one of those books that I’ve seen has received SO MUCH love since it was published, and I can understand why!. It contains very important representations. I’m very interested in reading it, I feel that I have to be emotionally prepared because surely hit me hard in all my poor heart, but I’ll be doing it very soon. I’ve also heard incredible things about the author and I’ve never read anything by her so I think this is a good place to start with 💕
