🌼 Hi guys, I hope you’re having a beautiful day, I know that lately I’ve been kind of missing, 😅 but I’ve had the busiest week EVER, on the other hand, I’ve been a lot with my family, my brothers and my boyfriend, which is great, it’s been my boyfriend’s birthday so I’ve been organizing a lot and my brother has made his first tattoo! I’m so excited for him. So yeah, has been a week with many things and I’ve been also, as you know, participating in the Smutathon, if you want to know more about this rea-a-thon I’ll leave the link HERE to my TBR, where besides having all the books I planned to read, also have all the information you need to know. 💞
And finally, here we are! and I bring you my Wrap Up, where I’ll show you and we’ll talk a little about the books that I’ve read during the Smutathon. 😊
I’ve had so much fun participating and I think I’ve done a great job, I finished reading 3 of the 5 books I had in my TBR for the week, and since it was such a busy week, I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved. I’ve also enjoyed everything I’ve read, which is always the most important thing, right? 🌼
❤️ Before starting, I always have something to share with you. This time is, I think I’ve already mentioned it, but I’ve been practicing my VERY few editing skills and trying to create something new and pretty for the headers of each post, that’s why maybe now everything is all over the place. I feel that even so, I’m SUPER happy with how looks now, so maybe I’ll continue with this theme, I think it’s very me, it’s like simple but it’s cute, so I like it. Even so, I would LOVE to know your thoughts about it, let me know if you like it! or what you think, I’m always interested in knowing your opinion, it would be a great help ❤️
I’ll be uploading a mini-review on each book during the next few weeks, but anyway today I’ll share with you a bit about my main thoughts and feelings, it will be fun, so without further ado, let’s get started! 😍
🌼 The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren 🌼
Different Worlds || Vacation Romance || Enemies to Lovers
Olive is always unlucky: in her career, in love, in…well, everything. Her identical twin sister Ami, on the other hand, is probably the luckiest person in the world. Her meet-cute with her fiancé is something out of a romantic comedy (gag) and she’s managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a series of Internet contests (double gag). Worst of all, she’s forcing Olive to spend the day with her sworn enemy, Ethan, who just happens to be the best man.
Olive braces herself to get through 24 hours of wedding hell before she can return to her comfortable, unlucky life. But when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning from eating bad shellfish, the only people who aren’t affected are Olive and Ethan. And now there’s an all-expenses-paid honeymoon in Hawaii up for grabs.
Putting their mutual hatred aside for the sake of a free vacation, Olive and Ethan head for paradise, determined to avoid each other at all costs. But when Olive runs into her future boss, the little white lie she tells him is suddenly at risk to become a whole lot bigger. She and Ethan now have to pretend to be loving newlyweds, and her luck seems worse than ever. But the weird thing is that she doesn’t mind playing pretend. In fact, she feels kind of… lucky.

3.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
This book was a lot of fun, at first I wasn’t sure if I would like it, but I ended up enjoying it! I think the second half is the best one and it’s where I felt more committed and I enjoyed the book even more, maybe because everything became a big family drama thing and I enjoyed that aspect, I also love that the Latino family is represented in that way because I think it’s quite real and I reach my heart. LOVED the relationship between Olive and her sister Ami, you can feel and see that although they go through bad times, they love each other very much and I adore this type of relationship.
The first part for me was too over-dramatic, but it scaled to be a great book, it has very funny moments, it made me laugh a lot. I think that romance is fine, I really like the fact that it grows as the book progresses and is not like merely sexual, you know?
I didn’t understand much the “hate” between them, I think it was so silly really, and my relationship with Ethan had its good moments and then very bad ones, but I ended up feeling him and I liked him.
So in short, is a great book, it’s very entertaining and easy to read, so I’ll be trying more of the author soon 😊
🌼 Vicious (Sinners of Saint #1) by L.J. Shen 🌼
Bad Boy/Bad Girl || One Word Title || Forbidden Romance
Emilia
They say love and hate are the same feelings experienced under different circumstances, and it’s true. The man who comes to me in my dreams also haunts me in my nightmares. He is a brilliant lawyer. A skilled criminal. A beautiful liar. A bully and a savior, a monster and a lover.
Ten years ago, he made me run away from the small town where we lived. Now, he came for me in New York, and he isn’t leaving until he takes me with him.
Vicious
She is a starving artist. Pretty and evasive like cherry blossom. Ten years ago, she barged into my life unannounced and turned everything upside down. She paid the price.
Emilia LeBlanc is completely off-limits, my best friend’s ex-girlfriend. The woman who knows my darkest secret, and the daughter of the cheap Help we hired to take care of our estate. That should deter me from chasing her, but it doesn’t. So she hates me. Big fucking deal. She better get used to me.

4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
This book isn’t for everyone, from I can tell you that, no doubt, there will be those who hate this completely and understand why, and there will be those who love it and enjoy it despite being a very twisted shit, and that’s me lol. This book was like going back to the past when I used to love this kind of romances, there’s a bad and powerful guy and this girl who’s very innocent and their worlds just collide and everything is a beautiful disaster. First, it’s VERY ADDICTIVE, I couldn’t stop reading it and while I wasn’t reading it, I was thinking about it, so it’s a book that stays very much with me and played a lot with my feelings. I like that the main characters, Vicious and Emilia, knew each other since like really young because it gives a more special touch to romance, the jumps in time from the present where the boys are already adults, to the past when they’re teenagers, it’s very well handled because there are things that we just know about towards the ending and those things that have happened make you change your perspective about characters, that makes you stay on the edge of your seat to know what will happen between them. This is a 100% sexual book and touches very sensitive issues such as abuse, it’s also very explicit and dark in itself, so if you plan to read it, you may have to keep that in mind. I think I managed to put myself in Emilia’s place many times, and I understood almost all her decisions and I was angry with Vicious for most of the book, but when he appears in scenes you know that something good will happen, is an evil character, twisted but with a very tragic past and you finally get to know a little more about him throughout the end and his reasons for his actions.
Emilia is a very strong girl, I like the character very much because she’ll do anything for her family and comes from a very poor house and has fought every day for her sister as she can, I think she’s very admirable.
I’ve heard some people say that Vicious is like Cardan (The Cruel Prince) and I agree in some way, you’ll have to find out for yourself.
While you read the book you know that many things are wrong and awful, but at the same time, it’s SO GOOD, if it’s the kind of book you are interested in, I recommend it, you’ll not regret. I’ll talk more about it in my review 💕
🌼 Treasure by Rebekah Weatherspoon 🌼
LGBTQ+ || Author of Color || Finish a Book in a Day

She isn’t expecting much from her freshman year of college until she finds herself sharing a class with Treasure, the gorgeous stripper from her sister’s party.
Trisha Hamilton has finally gotten the credits and the money together to transfer to a four-year university. Between classes, studying, and her job as a stripper, she has little time for a social life, until she runs into the adorably shy baby butch from the club. Trisha can’t seem to hide her feelings for Alexis, even when Trisha discovers what she has been through, but will Alexis have the strength to be just as fearless about their new love?

I think that of the three books this was the one that less impact me, but still enjoyed it, is a book about a romance between two girls, and is very passionate, the author’s writing style is very good as well. I think one of my problems with it, is the fact that for being so short I haven’t ended up knowing the character so deeply as I usually like, but even so, the characters are well explained, I think that’s kind of personal, a me problem thing.
It’s a very sexy, daring, fun and above all, diverse book. I think many of you can enjoy it, especially if you’re looking for a good reading for the Pride month , I would recommend it! 🌈
I need to read Unhoneymooners 💕

Yay, smut! So happy you did this! If you like the darker stuff, I cannot recommend Pestilence by Laura Thalassa highly enough!! (Forgive the book for its current cover; it used to be a lot better, but the author found out the artist she commissioned had plagiarized, and so she had to change it quickly.)

YES!!, I liked it a lot 💕 & I know, the same thing happens to me, I want to read more by the author. I was thinking about continuing with the same series, I guess every book is about one of Vicious’s friends or something, right? Have you read it? 😊

I read the first three, because the fourth one was about a side character that really didn’t have much to do with the OG (probably I’ll pick it up as well in the future), and really enjoy them as well! I totally recommend them🙂.
Also there’s a spin off series that is about their children as well (though they weren’t protagonists they appear from time to time in the novel!).
