Β πŸ€Β Hi guys, I hope you’re having an amazing day and I hope you’re enjoying your readings. Today I bring you something very exciting for me, as you’ve already seen for the title, I’ll try to read the books with the lower and higher ratings that are already on my TBR. I’ve seen this done by several Booktubers and I think it’s SUPER fun to watch, so I wanted to try it, it could be very interesting and I’m curious to know how I’ll feel about the books I’ve chosen.
I’ve chosen 3 books that have the lowest rating that are, obviously, already on my TBR and 3 of those that have the highest rating. I’ve chosen 6 books because I think it will be more comfortable and easy for me, and I’ll be able to read one per month and then write a review and tell you all about how I feel. I would love to read them all right now but there are other books that I need to read as well, so I couldn’t do it and, to be honest, I want it to be something fun, not just for you, but also for me and that’s not a stressful thing, you know?, so I hope it’s ok for you if I read one of these books per month, starting right now in March
The books that I have picked are books that many people have already read and given their ratings, of course, so I haven’t chosen those books that just a few people have read since it would be unfair.
So, if you have any questions about it, you can always let me know in the comments and I hope not to forget to tell you anything. And obviously, I hope you enjoy it, will be so fun, I can feel it.
So, without further ado, let’s start, I’m excited to show you my TBR for the following monthsΒ πŸ€Β

Β πŸ’«Β The Lowest Rated Books On My TBRΒ πŸ’«Β

πŸ€Β The Pisces by Melissa Broder : This is an Adult book that combines Magic Realism with Romance and I think it also has a touch of humor. It’s about a girl who has love issues and suffers from anxiety because of it. She goes to her sister’s beach house to take care of a dog and sees something swimming in the water and I’m not sure how it connects, but I think it’s a love story between a woman and a fish/mermaid or something. Looks different and I like that, most of the reviews are like REALLY bad ones, I’ve never seen so many 1 stars before, but I know that a couple of you think it’s a good book, so I want to see how I’ll feel about it, will be a weird journey, I can’t wait.

Β πŸ€Β Blood Rose Rebellion (Blood Rose Rebellion #1) by Rosalyn Eves : This is a historical fantasy, which takes place in a world where the world order is ruled over blood, money, and magic. The main character is a young woman who’s exiled from society because a blood defect, she doesn’t seem to have any magical ability as her family, who are very powerful magic users. One day, she breaks her sister spell by accident and is sent to Hungary (I think), where she discovers that things aren’t as she imagined, and is searched by people who wish to use her unique power.
I think it sounds good, although it sounds like an average fantasy read, I think it has the potential to be something incredible. I was surprised to see that it has a low rating despite that many people have read it, so I’m interested in knowing why, it will be interesting to find out how I feel about this one really

Β πŸ€ This Darkness Mine by Mindy McGinnis : Well, I love Mystery, you know that, but this book sounds so WEIRD! I really don’t know what to expect. The book is about a girl, she seems to have all her life perfect and planned out, but one day she crosses paths with this guy and although she doesn’t know him at all, she begins to feel that her body reacts when he’s near. And that in some way is connected to the fact that she absorbed her twin sister when she was in the womb, which sounds really crazy, I’ve never heard of anything like that before. So she starts to have blackouts and doesn’ know what’s going on with her, and I can see that it will be a pretty dark book and I confess that I’m intrigued, it sounds too crazy not to read it. I’ve already begun to draw conclusions of what’s happening lol

Β πŸ’«Β The Highest Rated Books On My TBRΒ πŸ’«Β

Β πŸ€Β Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows #2) by Leigh Bardugo : I don’t have much more to say about this book that I haven’t already said, I’m going to read it after I finish my current reading so it sure will be tomorrow *crossed fingers*, and I can’t wait !. Many have told me to prepare myself for the emotions, so I should do it, although you’re never completely ready, right?
I’ll use this moment to say that if you haven’t read anything in the Grisha universe, you should do it, it’s one of the most fascinating worlds I’ve read about and it’s a pleasure to get lost in it

Β πŸ€Β The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle #1) by Patrick Rothfuss :

My name is Kvothe.

I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep.

You may have heard of me.

OMG, I’m so ready to read this book, I’ve only heard the best things and it’s one of the most loved books by everyone in the community, so you probably have already heard about it, and if you don’t, with just read that part you should be as excited as I am lol.
I really like the concept of accompanying this hero through all his journey and his search for the meaning of life, it’s also fantasy so that makes it even better. I’m so excited and scared at the same time! HELP!

Β πŸ€Β Skyward (Skyward #1) by Brandon Sanderson : I’ve never read the author before and that needs to be fixed. I know that this book is Sci-Fi and that’s not my kind of thing, but I’ve seen very good reviews of people who don’t read the genre either, so I trust them, maybe this is the exception and maybe it will make me start reading more sci-fi, which I would call a miracle lol.
The main character has the dream of becoming a pilot, and thus prove her bravery fighting for her planet, which has been under attack for a long time. Her father died a few years ago when he deserted his team and now, no one will let her forget that she’s the daughter of a coward.
Then, there’s an accident near where she’s and she finds something that could make her achieve her dream of being a pilot. I think this is what happens. I love the cover, I’m in love, and the fact of finally reading a book by Brandon Sanderson makes me feel more and more excited, I can’t wait

Please, let me know in the comments if you have read any of these books and how you feel about it, I would love to know!!Β πŸ’«Β

I hope you enjoyed it, and that you decide to go along with me through this adventure, while I read these books πŸ’•Β

  1. I have heard only the best things about McGinnis’s other book, The Female of the Species (which is why I picked it up) but the reviews for her other books are alll over the place. This synopsis is kind of out there, so I can guess at why it has the low ratings. I’m interested to see what you think.

  2. I’ve read 3 books by McGinnis so far and loved them. I’m still on the fence on whether I want to read This Darkness Mine because of how out there it is, but I may give it a shot eventually since I would like to read all of her work. I hope you have fun on your project and end up finding some gems. πŸ’™

  3. I haven’t read any of those low rated books, but all three of those high rated books are ones that I’ve really enjoyed! πŸ˜€ I’d say my favorite of the three is Crooked Kingdom – hopefully you end up loving it too! This is such a cool challenge πŸ˜€

  4. I wanted to read A blood Rose Rebellion but after hearing the mixed reviews I’ve lost my interest. Hope you enjoy it! I loved Crooked Kingdom and Skyward! I haven’t read Name Of The Wind but I’ve heard great things about it. I’ll look forward to hear your thoughts on it.

  7. I really like this idea a lot. I have been seeing a lot of booktubers do this. I want to do this at some point. I was curious to see what books I’d have to read if I did this. Six of Crows is on my list and so is The Name of The Wind. So interested to see what you think of The Name of the Wind.
