☕️ Hi guys, I hope you’re having an amazing day!. Today I bring you a post that I like to do once in a while, to show you the ARCs that so kindly pages as NetGalley and Edelweiss have given me the possibility to get to read before its release date. I’m an international book blogger, my country of origin and where I live in is Argentina so you know, it’s very difficult for me to get ARCs, I’ll not bore you with all the new laws of some publishers, their restraints and all that, but I just wanted to mention this, since every time I have the possibility of reading an advanced copy of a book, either through pages like the ones I mentioned before or directly through the authors, is a blessing for me and I’m forever grateful.
So, today I bring you another edition of these post where I’ll share my new ARCs with you and I’m super excited for all of them. As always, I’ll leave all the information down below, from where I got the ARC and when is its release date, so without further ado, let’s start!☕️

Middlegame by Seanan McGuire || May 7th 2019 by Tor.com

41893832New York Times bestselling and Alex, Nebula, and Hugo-Award-winning author Seanan McGuire introduces readers to a world of amoral alchemy, shadowy organizations, and impossible cities in the standalone fantasy, Middlegame.

Meet Roger. Skilled with words, languages come easily to him. He instinctively understands how the world works through the power of story.

Meet Dodger, his twin. Numbers are her world, her obsession, her everything. All she understands, she does so through the power of math.

Roger and Dodger aren’t exactly human, though they don’t realise it. They aren’t exactly gods, either. Not entirely. Not yet.

Meet Reed, skilled in the alchemical arts like his progenitor before him. Reed created Dodger and her brother. He’s not their father. Not quite. But he has a plan: to raise the twins to the highest power, to ascend with them and claim their authority as his own.

Godhood is attainable. Pray it isn’t attained.

The Lost Coast by Amy Rose Capetta || May 14th 2019 by Candlewick

35053372The spellbinding tale of six queer witches forging their own paths, shrouded in the mist, magic, and secrets of the ancient California redwoods.

Danny didn’t know what she was looking for when she and her mother spread out a map of the United States and Danny put her finger down on Tempest, California. What she finds are the Grays: a group of friends who throw around terms like queer and witch like they’re ordinary and everyday, though they feel like an earthquake to Danny. But Danny didn’t just find the Grays. They cast a spell that calls her halfway across the country, because she has something they need: she can bring back Imogen, the most powerful of the Grays, missing since the summer night she wandered into the woods alone. But before Danny can find Imogen, she finds a dead boy with a redwood branch through his heart. Something is very wrong amid the trees and fog of the Lost Coast, and whatever it is, it can kill. Lush, eerie, and imaginative, Amy Rose Capetta’s tale overflows with the perils and power of discovery — and what it means to find your home, yourself, and your way forward.

Ask Me Anything by Molly E. Lee || May 7th 2019 by Entangled: Teen

41085231I should’ve kept my mouth shut.

But Wilmont Academy’s been living in the Dark Ages when it comes to sex ed, and someone had to take matters into her own hands. Well, I’m a kickass coder, so I created a totally anonymous, totally untraceable blog where teens can come to get real, honest, nothing-is-off-limits sex advice.

And holy hell, the site went viral overnight. Who knew this school was so hard up.

Except now the school administration is trying to shut me down, and they’ve forced Dean—my coding crush, aka the hottest guy in school—to try to uncover who I am. If he discovers my secret, I’ll lose him forever. And thousands of teens who need real advice won’t have anyone to turn to.

Ask me anything…except how to make things right.

All of Us with Wings by Michelle Ruiz Keil || June 18th 2019 by Soho Press

40177227Michelle Ruiz Keil’s YA fantasy debut about love, found family, and healing is an ode to post-punk San Francisco through the eyes of a Mexican-American girl.

Seventeen-year-old Xochi is alone in San Francisco, running from her painful past: the mother who abandoned her, the man who betrayed her. Then one day, she meets Pallas, a precocious twelve-year-old who lives with her rockstar family in one of the city’s storybook Victorians. Xochi accepts a position as Pallas’s live-in governess and quickly finds her place in their household, which is relaxed and happy despite the band’s larger-than-life fame.

But on the night of the Vernal Equinox, as a concert afterparty rages in the house below, Xochi and Pallas accidentally summon a pair of ancient creatures devoted to avenging the wrongs of Xochi’s adolescence. She would do anything to preserve her new life, but with the creatures determined to exact vengeance on those who’ve hurt her, no one is safe—not the family she’s chosen, nor the one she left behind.

  1. The cover of The Lost Coast looks super pretty!!! Congrats on the ARCs! I just received 4 (two children, one YA and one adult) and gotta get on those reads ha-ha!! I’ve never applied for an ARC outside of NetGalley (haven’t done that in a while lol) but I want to try this year.

    Congrats on the ARCs!

    1. Yes, The Lost Coast cover, it’s so pretty!
Thank you SO much Jenna, I hope you also enjoy yours, you deserve them, you’re an INCREDIBLE blogger 💕
And I haven’t requested an ARC out of those pages either, but I’d like to do it, scares me a little, though, I don’t know why 😂

  2. I feel you when it comes to ARCs! Living in Argentina (or anywhere outside the US/Canada/Australia/UK/Europe) makes it increasingly hard to be actually approved for ARCs, even if they are e-ARCs… I recently got approved for Middlegame as well! I was honestly surprised they actually did approve my request haha.

      1. Same here! In a way I’m also glad I don’t get approved for every single title I want, because my Netgalley shelves are out of control as it is. xD Fingers crossed we will both love Middlegame!

  3. Hi Sofi,
I’m so happy for you! Receving all these arcs despite of the difficulties, that’s really great.
“Middlegame” seems so cool, I really like the concept. Has the author also written “One of Us is Lying”? I gifted that to my sister last year and she really liked it, so if so that would be wonderful!

  4. I haven’t heard of any of them though Lost Coast and All of Us Have Wings both sound like they could be really great. I have two ARCs that I’m pretty excited about myself right now. I have Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim & Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia.

    Happy reading!
