I love seeing many of you starting with the challenge as well and following you with each letter is great!. So here we are!, getting closer and closer to the end, so let’s start! ☕️
Memorable Titles That Start With “S”
☕️ The Summer I Turned Pretty (Summer #1) by Jenny Han : I know it’s a pretty cliche book, but it’s the perfect summer reading, besides it’s super addictive, not only this book but the whole trilogy it is. This book is about a girl named Belly who loves summers, which she spends in the summer house of her mother’s best friend and there are also the two sons of this woman, and there will be a lot of romance happening there. But in addition to the romance that is, very addictive, this book touches other topics such as family.
I think you should try if you want to read something fast and very addictive. In addition, Jenny Han’s writing style is INCREDIBLE. || My Review ||
☕️ Shadow and Bone (The Shadow and Bone Trilogy #1) by Leigh Bardugo : What could I say of this series that I haven’t said already, right ?. It’s one of my favorite trilogies and worlds, the characters are also really good (especially my Darkling) and I hope that if you haven’t read it yet, you’ll do it, it’s a fascinating story that takes place in a beautiful and magical world, where you’ll want to lose yourself in
Now, this world will have its adaptation made by Netflix, so it’s the perfect opportunity to read it if you haven’t done it yet, and to re-read it for all of us who love our Grisha universe. || My Review ||
☕️ Shatter Me (Shatter Me #1) by Tahereh Mafi : Another of those trilogies (now series) that I never stop talking about lol. I must have you tired telling you this but, I LOVE this series, it’s so special for me and nowadays, after having read a lot more, I can see that it’s not perfect, but still, it’s captivating, the characters are amazing and also the Tahereh’s writing style is one of the most beautiful one. The plot never stops reinventing itself and I appreciate that very much, it’s an adventure that I’m very excited to continue with the books that will come || My Review ||
☕️ The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner : This book is certainly a roller coaster of emotions, I remember going into it thinking it would be a light reading, and boy I was so wrong. The characters are the stars of the book, the author is so clever at the moment of building their characters, and I ended up loving these talented and adorable guys, and I couldn’t recommend it more. It’s very difficult to talk about this book without doing spoilers, so I’ll not say much, you should read it, it broke my heart but it’s beautiful at the same time, and I really want to re-read it soon
☕️ Sadie by Courtney Summers : I LOVE THIS BOOK so much, it’s amazing and if you haven’t yet read it yet, you must leave everything you’re doing right now and read it, you’ll not regret it. With this book you’ll feel from rage and pain to sadness and confusion, it’s an incredible work of the author, so obviously I recommend it to a lot if you want to read a good book of mystery and crime, with an unexpected ending and very real characters. It can be difficult to read, especially if you’re sensitive, because it contains very strong scenes and touches very delicate topics, but it’s really worth it || My Review ||
☕️ The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid : OMG this book, I really can’t compare it with anything I’ve ever read. It’s SO original, it’s tragic in a beautiful way, it’s passionate and unforgettable.
In this book we follow the fabulous Evelyn Hugo, a great Hollywood star and we’ll hear firsthand her entire story and we’ll get to know much more about the story of her lovers and her seven husbands.
This story is so captivating and full of meaning, of love, of revenge, of betrayals, of risks, of losses, honestly has EVERYTHING.
I think the author did a AMAZING job, because as you read this book, you almost forget that it’s fiction. Evelyn undoubtedly feels like a very real woman, she and her story are, so it’s a unique experience to read this book and nobody should miss it. || My Review ||
☕️ Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (Creekwood #1) by Becky Albertalli : Well, I think we all know this lovely story, but I still wanted to highlight it and talk a little about it. Although time passes, I always think about this book again, I think that its diversity is beautiful and its love story is honest and real. I really like the friendship that’s in it too, but I think that the family dynamic is the one that takes the gold. Simon has one of the most beautiful and supportive families I’ve read about.
I really love this book, and I know most of you as well, so that makes me happy, such a beautiful story deserves all the love. || My Review ||
