It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
Hi loves!, I hope you’re having a great start to the week, I know it is hard to start after the weekend, so from here, I send THE BEST ENERGIES 🌻 for you all !. Today I bring you the weekly meme “It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?”, which I love since it allows us to keep abreast of our recent and future readings, so without further ado let’s start!!
What I Read Last Week
The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds #1) by Alexandra Bracken
When Ruby woke up on her tenth birthday, something about her had changed. Something frightening enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call the police. Something that got her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.” She might have survived the mysterious disease that had killed most of America’s children, but she and the others emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they could not control.
Now sixteen, Ruby is one of the dangerous ones. When the truth comes out, Ruby barely escapes Thurmond with her life. She is on the run, desperate to find the only safe haven left for kids like her—East River. She joins a group of kids who have escaped their own camp. Liam, their brave leader, is falling hard for Ruby. But no matter how much she aches for him, Ruby can’t risk getting close. Not after what happened to her parents. When they arrive at East River, nothing is as it seems, least of all its mysterious leader. But there are other forces at work, people who will stop at nothing to use Ruby in their fight against the government. Ruby will be faced with a terrible choice, one that may mean giving up her only chance at having a life worth living.
I really don’t feel like writing a full review about this book, especially since it’s a re-reading for me and I love it so much that it’s really hard for me to put all my feelings into words. I don’t know how to explain it, I just LOVE this series.
In fact, I wrote some feelings right after finishing it so I’ll put them here below to you to get excited with me lol
Kind of a mini review/Feels everywhere😅
OMG this book is so good!
I just love this book and the idea of re-reading it has been one of my best ideas, I felt everything again as if it were the first time and I loved it even more.
The characters are incredible and I’m still surprised by the great growth of all of them, besides, the end of this book is FIRE, even today, knowing what will happen, leaves me breathless, and even this time has made my eyes fill with tears. I think it makes me feel like too sensitive the fact of going back to immerse myself in this world and see my babies again
I’ll be continuing with the re-reading of the trilogy because I’m dying to finally read the fourth book, I CAN NOT WAIT!
The relationship between Liam and Ruby has me in love with, I love Zu and Chubs, and just all of them lol and obviously super excited to go back and read about my favorite of this series, COLE 💕
And if you haven’t read this book yet please do it, if you like the superpowers theme in the best X-men style and the dystopias, you’ll love this one
What I’m Reading At Present
Dream On (Silber #2) by Kerstin Gier
Things seem to be going well for Liv Silver: she’s adjusting to her new home in London; she has a burgeoning romance with Henry Harper, one of the cutest boys in school; and the girl who’s been turning her dreams into nightmares, Anabel, is now locked up. But serenity doesn’t last for long.
It seems that Liv’s troubles are far from over—in fact, suddenly they’re piling up. School gossip blogger Secrecy knows all of Liv’s most intimate secrets, Henry might be hiding something from her, and at night Liv senses a dark presence following her through the corridors of the dream world. Does someone have a score to settle with Liv?
After all these feelings that I’ve just revived I need something light and fun. I have just chosen this to read so I haven’t even started with it but I hope to enjoy it!
💛 I’m not going to put here what I’ll read later because I haven’t even begun my current reading so I don’t know how I’ll feel after finishing it. Anyway, I have a great TBR this month and I’m thrilled by all the readings I’ve put into it. If you haven’t seen my August TBR yet, I’ll leave it here for you to check out what I’ll be reading this month💛
