WWW Wednesday (#12)

Hi  guys! , I hope you’re all having an amazing time , today I bring you a weekly meme called WWW Wednesday originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm, and revived by Taking on a World of Words.

This meme tries to answer the following three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you finish recently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Before starting I want to take the space to share the terrible news of the death of Steph of TeacherofYA, I remember going on Twitter the day it happened and I saw a tweet of a girl who shared what had happened, and at that moment, I thought it was a lie, that maybe this person was wrong but then when the hours passed I found her sister’s publication giving the news and I really still can’t believe it. I didn’t know Steph personally but she always be there to help, she always commented here on the blog and shared my reviews, and not everyone do that, she was a very adorable and generous person. I thought about doing a separate publication about it but I don’t want to be invasive or disrespectful, I know there’s a family suffering right now and my prayers will be with them.
Here in the bookish community Steph will always be remembered

All this has made me think a lot, and I wanted to let you know how much you mean to me, I’m so grateful for everything that this beautiful and warm community has given me, I learn every day with you, I have fun and I share what I love that is to read. I feel very lucky to have you and to be part of something so pure and good. So I want to thank you for being there and also to remind you that I’m here in case something is hurting you and you want to talk about, I’m not an expert in the language, my english is kind of weird, I know that! lol, but the intention is real y the heart is big

Moving on to a totally different thing now, I want to tell you that I’ve been having alot SPAM comments, and check them out I realized that there are many of them that are not SPAM at all, in fact they are normal comments, so I wanted to make you know that if I haven’t answered your comment or something like that, is simply because I haven’t seen it because it’s marked that way, you know that I always answer everyone as soon as I can. So I just wanted to let you know that

Fire Study (Study, #3) by Maria V. Snyder
1966969The apprenticeship is over—now the real test has begun.

When word that Yelena is a Soulfinder—able to capture and release souls—spreads like wildfire, people grow uneasy. Already Yelena’s unusual abilities and past have set her apart. As the Council debates Yelena’s fate, she receives a disturbing message: a plot is rising against her homeland, led by a murderous sorcerer she has defeated before…

Honor sets Yelena on a path that will test the limits of her skills, and the hope of reuniting with her beloved spurs her onward. Her journey is fraught with allies, enemies, lovers and would-be assassins, each of questionable loyalty. Yelena will have but one chance to prove herself—and save the land she holds dear.

I thought that this book was going to be something different when I began to read it. I loved Magic Study a lot and the end was very good so obviously I was super excited for finally being able to read this third and final book of what would be the main story. Right now I’m not going much in the book but I plan to read a bit more today, but I’m not very sure about so far, I feel a bit confused especially because I feel that Yelena acts and speaks differently in this book, like she’s not herself, I don’t know, I still don’t want to judge cause I have a lot of love for the characters and the world so I’ll wait a little longer to give you a better opinion

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw

35297394Welcome to the cursed town of Sparrow…

Where, two centuries ago, three sisters were sentenced to death for witchery. Stones were tied to their ankles and they were drowned in the deep waters surrounding the town.

Now, for a brief time each summer, the sisters return, stealing the bodies of three weak-hearted girls so that they may seek their revenge, luring boys into the harbor and pulling them under.

Like many locals, seventeen-year-old Penny Talbot has accepted the fate of the town. But this year, on the eve of the sisters’ return, a boy named Bo Carter arrives; unaware of the danger he has just stumbled into.

Mistrust and lies spread quickly through the salty, rain-soaked streets. The townspeople turn against one another. Penny and Bo suspect each other of hiding secrets. And death comes swiftly to those who cannot resist the call of the sisters.

But only Penny sees what others cannot. And she will be forced to choose: save Bo, or save herself.

I loved this book with all my heart, was everything I wanted it to be. I found myself with a fantastic, creepy and fascinating world building, really brilliant. An unique story that caught me from the first moment with very well created characters which you’ll surely enjoy
I can’t recommend it more, a long time ago I didn’t give 5 stars to a book and honestly this one deserves each one of them
I’ll leave you my review HERE, in case you want to know more about it
