This meme tries to answer the following three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you finish recently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Before starting I want to thank you for the messages in my March TBR, it makes me so happythat you have enjoyed my boyfriend participation, also many of you have told me that you want to try something similar and that is AMAZING, I can’t wait to see them.
You’re the best guys!

Red Rising (Red Rising Saga #1) by Pierce Brown

15839976“I live for the dream that my children will be born free,” she says. “That they will be what they like. That they will own the land their father gave them.”

“I live for you,” I say sadly.

Eo kisses my cheek. “Then you must live for more.”

Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in the color-coded society of the future. Like his fellow Reds, he works all day, believing that he and his people are making the surface of Mars livable for future generations.

Yet he spends his life willingly, knowing that his blood and sweat will one day result in a better world for his children.

But Darrow and his kind have been betrayed. Soon he discovers that humanity already reached the surface generations ago. Vast cities and sprawling parks spread across the planet. Darrow—and Reds like him—are nothing more than slaves to a decadent ruling class.

Inspired by a longing for justice, and driven by the memory of lost love, Darrow sacrifices everything to infiltrate the legendary Institute, a proving ground for the dominant Gold caste, where the next generation of humanity’s overlords struggle for power. He will be forced to compete for his life and the very future of civilization against the best and most brutal of Society’s ruling class. There, he will stop at nothing to bring down his enemies… even if it means he has to become one of them to do so.

Goodreads

I’ve decided to start with Red Rising, since many of you have told me how great this story is, even so I was also warned that this first book of the saga can be a bit heavy, and being honest I’m feeling it.
It has a great plot, I can see that, but despite being reading it for days already, I feel I haven’t progressed as much into it as I would liked, so yes, I think it’s heavy and the writing style is something new for me , so I could say that I’m adapting to it, I’m going quite slow because of this, but the story is getting interesting so I’m curious to know what will happen

Ignite Me (Shatter Me #3) by Tahereh Mafi

13188676The heart-stopping conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series, which Ransom Riggs, bestselling author of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, called “a thrilling, high-stakes saga of self-discovery and forbidden love.”

With Omega Point destroyed, Juliette doesn’t know if the rebels, her friends, or even Adam are alive. But that won’t keep her from trying to take down The Reestablishment once and for all. Now she must rely on Warner, the handsome commander of Sector 45. The one person she never thought she could trust. The same person who saved her life. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and save their dying world . . . but that’s not all he wants with her.

The Shatter Me series is perfect for fans who crave action-packed young adult novels with tantalizing romance like Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and Legend by Marie Lu. Tahereh Mafi has created a captivating and original story that combines the best of dystopian and paranormal, and was praised by Publishers Weekly as “a gripping read from an author who’s not afraid to take risks.” Now this final book brings the series to a shocking and satisfying end.

Goodreads

This is the last book I read last month, obviously I loved it this second time as much as the first time I read it, I can’t wait for Restore Me, I’ve said it a thousand times lol, but that’s the truth!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m not sure to be honest, but surely one of these two would be my next reading. I would like to read Restore Me, but I still have to wait a few weeks for it to arrive at my house, so I will not be able to do it immediately :(.
Even so, I’m super excited to read any of these, but I’ll end up choosing the genre that I feel like reading at the moment

I would like to know your answers!

  1. I am currently reading an ARC of Song of Blood and Stone by L.Penelope. So far the book is so amazingly good, it sort of reminds me of the Winner’s trilogy but it’s also its own thing. The writing is so good and I love the MC Jasminda, I just want to protect her from the world.

    1. I hope you’re enjoying your reading😊. In fact I just finished reading Red Rising last night, my review will be post later today and I honestly didn’t like it at all. It’s a shame because I really had great expectations but I guess it’s not for me either 😕

  2. I’m currently reading ‘The couple next door’ which is a thriller and not my usual genre. Also ploughing my way through The Hobbit which is a kind of pet project for me. Never read it before and have always wanted to. Last thing I read was ‘Awakening of the Seer’ by EE Holmes. Loved this as with all of her other books. Planning to read ‘The Infinity Engines’ which I’ve heard great reviews about. Have read Norse Mythology and loved it. I know more about Greek Gods and Myths and Norse Gods do tend to mirror these, albeit with their own stories. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
